i almost turned down med school acceptance at 17, here's why i didn't

Don't be afraid to make the hard decision. Trust in your gut. Good friends will be there for you in the end, and they'll understand and even share in your sacrifice to chase your dreams. By the end of it all, you'll end up exactly where you need to be. This is the story of my life changing decision, and how I wouldn't have changed a thing if I could. I am a medical student only because of the support of friends and family. Thanks to the long time homie for helping me film this video.

@@NDMD did you choose to do the program in 7 or 8 years? Also, ive been really concerned about the MCAT requirement. Do most people make the score cutoff? Thanks

You go through in 7 years, you only go through it in 8 if you don’t make the GPA or MCAT requirements the first time. MCAT is typically the hardest part but the classes you take are designed specifically to prepare you to take the MCAT early and do well. You have 3 tries, depending on how you schedule it, to get the score cut off before you have to stay in undergrad for a fourth year. Every single member of my class got the score except one
