As a pre-med interested in ENT, this interview gave me a great feeling about a specialty that already excites me more than anything. Dr. Lindman is so inspiring and any med students who’ve worked with him are incredibly lucky!

You really are making a huge impact tho😅. I had to stop med school halfway cos I was studying in Ukraine and due to a lot of issues I would rather not get into right now, I could not continue so I had to either start over or drop medicine but I have been watching since you were in, I think, your 2nd year, and I can tell you that your videos and vlogs, especially the 73 question series played a role in me building up the courage to start over. I'm now in my 3rd year after starting over. In 4 years I will be a doctor and for that, I am eternally grateful to you and some of your creator friends in the medical space for everything. I can't wait to come under your comment section in a few years and announce that I didn't quit and I achieved my dreams😁. (med school is 7 years in my uni cos it's basically 2 degrees in one, a pre-med course together with medicine)

Hey Andy, my name is Liam. Im a nurse in CVICU at Emory in Atlanta and i just got accepted to Perfusion school in New York! One of my clinical rotations could be at Yale New Haven. You've inspired me for years to reach my goal and I thought it was cool to see how our trajectories as Georgia natives has taken us to similar places. Keep up the learning and improving. You are a great doctor!

Andy, so so proud of you. God is so good. I love when He speaks louder than the voices in our head. I also believe that there is purpose to every encounter. It’s not a coincidence that you had this patient. Praying for your continued strength and endurance. You are a blessing to so many. God is working through you to touch the lives around you. Keep going!! Merry Christmas. I pray 2025 is the best yet!

Go find a patient and take them on a "wellness walk." I was admitted for IV antibiotics once and things went terribly wrong. My bowel perforated the following morning but my doctors didn't believe me. They finally did a CT the following afternoon which is when I was taken for emergency surgery. The horrifying experience and reality of the situation finally hit me 4 days after my surgery. I was really sad about everything that happened. My nurse that day could tell so she came asked me to go for a walk. She took me outside. It was the craziest feeling ever. When I was admitted it was supposed to be no big deal and then I almost didn't get to walk out. I have never appreciated the sunshine more than I did that day. Tell them you are looking after a patient and go enjoy the outdoors with them.
@NDMD5 күн бұрын
such a great idea, not quite sure it'll help with healing when it's 20 degrees outside though 😅
@A---ti3zz4 күн бұрын
@ you never know. I was insanely hot after my bowel perfed and for some reason that continued. They put like 8 ice packs on me at a time every day until I was discharged. I would have been happy to go out in the cold and just as grateful to see the outside again. I was grateful to be outside even though it was hot; I definitely took it for granted before my surgery

Ok, Dr. ND, you clearly not used to this winter related stuff!! Get yourself some light gloves (or heavy gloves, dealers choice) just for walking outside in winter. Get yourself some cetaphil moisturizer and use it at least in the evening and in the morning, and maybe even mid day, (or midnight) it absorbs quick and doesn't leave your hands greasy! The more you go out in the cold with no gloves on the drier your hands are going to get! That Tesla is so ugly, please don't get one when you become king Dr. in a few years, get a Lexus. Ok, that is all... happy holidays!

Andy 😲, you're not in Kansas, OK, Georgia, anymore (classic film reference). Please get yourself a warm winter hat that covers your ears, a pair of winter gloves, AND zip your jacket up all the way. Elementary survival tip for winter in the northeast. You can do this!
