He would be smart to not only listen to just cheer leaders, he might get an unpolished comment that could really help him. At the end of day its his nickle and he can throw the comment in garbage can if he doesn't think it will help him.

With the youtube algorithm that encourages engagement even a comment such as " When I damage my equipment I go into my wife's garden, bury myself to my neck and pretend to be a turnip while I figure out how to make things better" adds value to his channel.

It's not them you are trying to improve your property. I owned 40 acres with about 18 cows and calves and a haying operation. If every mistake I made was critiqued by the masses I would come off as a bumbling fool, but it was MY property I was trying to improve.

Evan, I've been in construction for over 45 years. Accepting, and correcting mistakes is all part of the challenge. I've learned that everyone, including myself turns into an a***ole every day for about 10 minutes. That goes for the best of them, and Im proud to have worked with the best. Know when the 10 minutes is going to happenonly means that you've been doing it too long. So fix the gate, bend the grapple back into shape, touch up the scratches, and forget about it. Your doing a fine job on the farm. Critic's should be reminded that this is in addition to your full-time job, and that makes you awesome.

Evan, just be glad your truck was far enough back the gate didn't get it. Also if TYM will allow you I would personally beaf up your grill guard with some expanded metal to slow down anything going thru your grill and or radiator. I personally have a grapple and a separate post tree puller attachment and let's just say I need to replace the expanded metal. But also on the burying material I have a neighbor that had some material buried on his property and he is always complaining about sink holes in that area after stuff rotts and settles.

My husband and I watch all your videos and love them! I am concerned about the cleaning out hedge rows as where we live nobody has any hedgerows and we don't hear Bobwhites, Whipperwills or see Pheasants anymore. There is no place for them to hide or raise young when everything is cleaned up. We are actually planting hedgerows with native plants thus year for that reason as our neighbors ripped ours out. Replanting on our side of the property not on the line. We also try to keep everything cleared below powerlines. Thanks for great videos!!

If a log doesn't roll and blast my shin, or I don't touch dirt with my chainsaw, was I actually cutting wood- and getting anything done? lol. The saw was cutting like a boss, yesterday, and I was just ripping through stuff. Until I got to cutting a cookie off the end of a big Ash log. It moved, just as I was nearly through- and dropped my bar into the dirt for the barest second. Brand new chain- went from factory sharp to having a hard time trimming small branch stubs in an instant... PHOOEY!!! Oh well. I'd already cut all the wood my pickup would hold, anyway. (and all my back could stand to lift into the truck) I was just enjoying the cutting at that point. Bonus: both shins emerged unscathed!
