I just got back from Costa Rica on the weekend you can literally live a middle-class life. So do what I did and get your passport and move to Tijuana. You should just get out of the US and move to other countries as soon as you can. The country where gives your asset more value. Longer you wait, it will get harder for you to make a big move in your life. I'm 50 years old, single no kids. I quit my slave job last year, and I don't have much savings. I just moved out from the US last July 2023 and moved to Thailand. I don't know what my future will be like.. but as for now I'm much happier. I don't want to worry about my future now. I'm living much healthier life now. I stop drinking and smoking from the day I moved to Thailand and exercising regularly and eating fresh food everyday. Unlike in the US, I was always eating junk food or frozen processed food everyday bases. The US life style literally deteriorating my body system. I told myself one day "This is gotta be stop. I must change!" Why i have to worry about my elder years while I'm destroying myself now?! I just want to live happy now! Who cares about tomorrow! I might not live as long as i should be. My man, a story: An in law had a very good job for a telecomm giant. He started there in the mid 1960's as a grunt, working his way up and eventually work his way into being a lobbyist. He raised 4 kids, moved to a decent house and did everything right. The company in the late 1990's offered all their senor folks stock options instead of pensions. He had to take it. His lifelong dream of retiring was just around the corner. Within a year, the company imploded, the guys above him all had golden parachutes and he and ALL the middle management's stock was worthless. He's been working at big retail stores ever since. His wife divorced him. They've known each other since grade school. The corporate world is finished. Finished. There will be no more stocks, but privately owned businesses. Yes. It's true. Get into something like security, or learn how to install sprinklers or something. Get off of YT. Forget about looking for a Corp job. Do something with your hands and hurry. YOU CAN NOT VOTE YOUR WAY OUT OF THIS.
