I'd say forget college and learn a trade. College guarantees nothing. A trade will always pay.

^ Don't listen to this knucklehead. Trades have dramatic ups and downs. How many people in construction trades do you think were unemployed in 1974? 1980? 1995? 2009? Et cetera. Career decisions are complicated and one should weigh many factors, not just this silly bumper sticker slogan, "Trades Always Pay".

What you may want is a career not a job! Find your passion in life and be an honest easy to get along with go getter. If possible work for the government which generally has decent benefits. Go to college and graduate to help you to formally understand more about the things that unite us all and also divide us; otherwise you may fall victim to the never ending cycle of lies and conspiracy theories streaming 24-7-365 on the internet. Besides having a good education is something no one can ever take away from you. Uneducated people are easy pickens for anyone who might want to do you harm. Don’t think that having a trade is enough to navigate a world that’s becoming more politically and socially complex everyday. Don’t be one of the guys that parrots talk radio talking points like so many people nowadays that lack a formal education. Take courses in your major of course but also take courses in a wide variety of subjects to broaden your understanding of the world we live in and explore why things are the way they are. Don’t go to college to party. Go to train yourself in how to think not what to think, which is what many content creators do-brainwash you. Don’t expect your degree to get you a “job.” Gotta develop you personal skills so employers can notice that you have something valuable to bring to a company or some other institution.

1. Disagree. Met my husband in college. Been together over 20 years. My best friend. 2. Agree. Don’t get a dumb degree. 3. Disagree. The college experience of being on campus is priceless. 4. Totally agree. Credit cards can be horrible if you don’t know how to use them.

Dont date until you finish college? Are you serious? If you want a family and kids you do it young. The longer you wait, the harder it is to find a good woman and her fertility time is near the end. Plus the longer you wait you will more likely meet a divorcee or single mom and she is likely to get more money in the divorce because you will be marrying and reproducing with her in your higher earning years. Your advice on this is that of a 45 year old man in the 80s.

Another piece of advice: Avoid drugs as much as possible and only drink in moderation. Also: Start saving for retirement as soon as possible and do it consistently.

Dating and education dont really confict with each other. You can do both well at the same time. Unless you put too much time prepare or think about dating.

Starting ok living with your parents is ok long as you have an end game. Far as you are concerned. Get out on your own man. You’re going to be 50 living with your parents. Who wants to get involved with some one like that. Harris will pay off your loans..it’s coming

Wow I wish I was your age hehe. You’re barely hitting your prime. My advise would be to embrace your youthfulness and make the most out of it by going out, networking with people that are going to offer you positive feedback, go to gym if you’re not and try and get in shape. You have the whole future ahead of you.

For young ppl out there... Invest in you, looks, teeth, clothes etc.. Have sex early, rent or free doesn't matter, just Collect expirience, Education is not for everyone, be a craftsman, earn $$$ early. That's are good fundamentals to start, rest is not guaranteed to Noone.
