I swear EA changed the match making in Champs. I’m a elite Div player and I literally don’t have a single easy WL game. Used to be the first 10 were pretty easy with one scare or two. This year the first to the last guy I play is player locking a greening everything. SBM has always been a problem but this year it’s a while different beast..

They did, according to some pro players(not EA confirmed) they changed the elo basis to win basis, so basically 2 people on 9 wins can get matched up together, do 9-1 players can get 9-8 players which is why every game is someone usually harder or bloody sweatier than you

This year it can be touch and go whether or not I even qualify 😂 Either I'm just not good at this year's game (most likely reason) or there's something v different in the player base

This was the very first weekend I lost my first two champs games, ever. And both opponents were really good, on top of the absolutely horrible gameplay this weekend especially. Not only did I loose the first 2 games, EVERY game after that was hard, too. I think I had only one ragequit. Normally I have like 6-8 because I play Sunday evening. All the other games were close. Some other guy said it in the comments. The first 10 games are normally pretty easy with maybe 1or 2 opponent’s that are good, then the matchmaking kicks in. Not this weekend. I felt like I was in rivals. The game is officially dead, the casuals are gone. I will follow soon if there won’t be a huge patch in the near future.

The game will be on a subscription base soon, if not it will be free. Their business model has steadily changed every year. You couldnt get the ULTIMATE EDITION of EVERY EA GAME on RELEASE with a $15 subscription until 2 years ago. They know its dying. When its free, casuals will come back but if its not a good game they just wont care. Bit of a pickle for the worst gaming company on earth if you ask me.

Im not going to comment on FIFA 23, but I think the main issue this year is the fact that the game just isn’t fun to play. Even last year you had the same ratty BS, but you could have fun playing 23 with the other options you had if you didn’t feel like ratting it up for 90 minutes. The game this year feels like a meat grinder.

In july/august it was 100% of the goals i conceded, but even before that, I played 64 depth im an elite player, with top meta team and almost every1 just did tht vs me to score.. maybe defensive AI is overtuned so u cant even attack, like it was in july/august last year but I just dont see the difference.@@BrentonSwart

@@thee8904 This is probably it tbh, I was div1/elite all year last year playing beautiful passing plays no cutbacks just left stick sauce, skills and passing, and by july/august I couldn't do that anymore cause of defensive AI, and every opponent I faced was playing the same way as people do this year, which was so boring to play against and made me quit. I guess the defensive AI is the same on gold cards in eafc as TOTS cards in 23 ... People can't get open, and every1 has devolved into world class on sbattles run down the line and pass across shi, its unfun from all sides most probably !

This year Fut Champs is a war from the first to the last Game. Last Years i had always 5-10 easy wins. Rivals is full of rats and friendlys... the worst by far. Only Quali for Fut Champs is decent. And the Content... all these crap Events with many 84 and 85 players which we all pack. But the good players or even mid cards... never. But hey we have The Pro Player Cup. 10 wins and you get a 82×2 pack🎉🎉🎉🎉

The problem with this fifa and past fifas is that any random idiot with a god squad can win. I finally started playing Efootball and was holding my own with the likes of Endo, Ito, Felix, Dest and some randos from the Mexican league. I be facing god teams with Messi, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Van Dik, etc. but actually win against them because the formations and tactics actually work. The most rewarding thing is when you actually break down the defense and there’s no keeper movement.
