When I was 16 I lost my parents and ended up on the streets. The only thing I could do was join the Army. I think you are lucky in one way because of all your generous supporters, and you have the freedom to see so much of Japan on no timeframe. Live free bro

Bless ya man, I became homeless in my late 20s till almost 40 and I regret no joining the military. I tell all the younger homeless kids I meet to at least think about it. It bed 3 meals a day and some purpose you may not normaly have.

I was in Japan in May and June of this year, your videos are making me want to visit again, it's too early for nostalgia. I enjoyed your recent bits from Aomori especially (even the police are amicable, as you showed), I loved that place. Aomori ties Hamamatsu (recommend Okuyama Houkouji) for top spot (IMHO), but I didn't see every city. I was also of no fixed address much earlier in my life, but without skateboard - that would have helped so much! I hope this little bit makes it easier for you (to enjoy life, and also to keep pushing this great content). Good luck!

It's not concerning when you tent camp in dry weather but I always feel bad when you have to tent camp in pouring rain. Glad there was that little structure to go inside when that burning smell scared you. Sunrise is early in Japan! 4 am and its light. 😳 Glad you were able to go meet your friend & share a few meals. We finally landed a apartment , 15 years now through our blessed American government ..Low income housing..Thank God , although weve been housed so long you never get totally over it..We camped, sheltered, moteled, car, and rooms and rentals..Your doing great but its terribly hard on mind body and soul ..Youll get through it a super better person hopefully..Its sort of degrading..😊

🌴Hey Robin , on those days were it’s raining and your stuck in the tent it would be nice to have one of those small alcohol burner type stoves and a small pot just to make hot tea or heat up water to make noodles that are packed in a throw away bowl , it wouldn’t take up hardly any room and weighs next to nothing , might be able to cook or warm up tent if it get to cold ? 🤔 the numbers keep rising you will probably hit the goal a lot sooner👍🏼🛹

Hello, I just found your channel 3days ago and have been watching your journey. Pretty cool, I was homeless for 2yrs in Texas. I already knew how Japans culture and view of homelessness is VASTLY DIFFERENT. Especially in Austin 90% of homeless are mental health people or drug addicts. 10% are just down on their luck. I'm stable now and have a "normal life" but when I see other homeless people in town. I always think to myself "freedom that's true untethered freedom" it's something I actually miss. I don't miss tent thunderstorms, trying to finding ANY dry place, and being tired every single day due to lack of sleep. (I had a full time job while I was homeless too) Wild times (I was a drinker sober now 1.7yrs) ❤ be safe man.
