Steven Solos Nah, not an excuse. Just reality. I remember when I used to be hard into Bjj back in the day, much more so than now (before a full plate of real-world responsibilities), and I remember it being sort of cultish, like CrossFit. Half the people live in a fantasy world where the only thing that matters is that, the others get training when they can and get back to their lives. For instance, that early class it out. Most people have to be at work between 6:30 and 8:00. So maybe the evening session will work, but if you have kids and responsibility at home then you have to consider that obviously. All I could muster was 2-3 a week. I’m not begrudging someone without those responsibilities. But I’m pointing out that most who make it to his level have the time and energy (and money from somewhere) to devote to it. For a majority of people, it’s simply not realistic. Aside from that, I have multiple interests and don’t want to give up my other things for full devotion to one. But that’s just me and is clearly a choice.
