In contrary to the message that this song delivered, I wept bitterly . I was reminded to my beautiful wife that departed to Heaven more than a year ago, due to stadium 4 lung cancer. I remembered how she took her long days of suffering without even sighed. She passed away with a smile on her face

It's okay to cry, and even weep bitterly! It is how you feel. I am _so sorry_ for the loss of your beloved wife! Cancer is a terrible thing to have to suffer through, not only for the patient, but for their loved ones... I wish you strength and healing on your road to recovery. A part of her will always be with you, and wishing happiness for you. 💔🫂❤🩹

This song is so beautiful. It's brought tears to my eyes. I have lost so many loved ones. I want to be with them. Just lost my granddaughter to covid-19. Lost my husband six years ago, my mom and dad. My best friend in 9/11. I just feel like giving up.

My father passed away in 1986 after years of battling cancer. He chose this to be engraved on his gravestone. I found a Native American version that was written years before Frye published hers. We may never know it's true origin.

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I am glad he chose these beautiful words for his gravestone; I hope this song brings some comfort to you. 💔🫂❤🩹 I'm afraid the story about the Indigenous origins of this poem is actually a hoax, and Mary Elizabeth Frye's public claim of authorship was an unfortunate case of plagiarism. After decades of mystery surrounding the true author, it is now officially acknowledged that the poem (titled 'Immortality') was written by Kansas poet Clare Harner. She wrote it soon after the death of her brother, and she first published it in the December 1934 issue of a poetry magazine, _The Gypsy_ . The following is her original published version. *Immortality* Do not stand By my grave, and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep- I am the thousand winds that blow I am the diamond glints in snow I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle, autumn rain. As you awake with morning’s hush, I am the swift, up-flinging rush Of quiet birds in circling flight, I am the day transcending night. Do not stand By my grave, and cry- I am not there, I did not die. *- Clare Harner, **_The Gypsy_** , December 1934* en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_Not_Stand_at_My_Grave_and_Weep

In South Korea, a ship sank on April 16, 2014, killing a total of 304 people. Most of them were 18-year-old students on their last trip to school. When the ship sank, the captain locked the door and escaped alone to prevent the students from leaving. So the crew on the ship helped the students escape. The crew members who helped the students died after staying on the ship to the end. In addition, so many other teachers, students and flight attendants died. Whenever I listen to this music, I think of them. They were still 18 years old. I can't imagine how hard and scary it must have been. I will remember them. I won't forget.

I am from Nepal and I cried a lot because of that incident..I felt really sad for those victims who were waiting for help but died..They could have become a big person now.I have watch videos related to that incident and the most heart touching part was that when the students sent messages to their parents writing 'I love you mom now I'm following my dad' some students even record videos and saying that 'lets meet alive outside' but they all died at the end.May their souls rest in peace... REMEMBER 4.16

This is a complete lie. The captain did not lock the door at all. He did everything he could to save the lives but to no avail at the end because the ship sank too fast. This person must be a North Korean spy or agent bent to spread rumors to cause conflicts in South Korea. There are so many spies from the North these days under the protection of the pro-Kim Jungun Moon government in the South.

Keith Howard I think there’s no composer nor song writer for this song. This has been told amongst the Native American tribes, I believe. Hence, the song does not sound like western music like classics nor other ethnic musics we are familiar with.
