I enjoyed your video this morning. I found that while caring for my Mom Art Journaling became a very important outlet for my heart and soul. I have been cleaning up and rearranging things in my Art Room these past few days and am revisiting some of my Journals and Scribbles. I am amazed how much I have accumulated. It is a journey. My Mom lived right next door to me yet At times I felt she was in another world away. Art does soothe my mind and promotes a softer version of reality.

Be gentle with yourself. I was on the other end, caregiver for my mother-in-law, then father-in-law, then my mother and finally my husband. I lost them one by one over 5 years. The visits from family from afar was always cherished. We laughed and cried together and didn’t feel alone. I felt blessed to be there everyday and cried for those that didn’t get to sit by the bed and hold the hands. You are living a tough part of life now - prayers for your peace 🙏💖

Im a newbie to your channel. Im from Canada and live 5 countries away in Panama SA. I totally understand how hard it is to be away when family is in crisis. Marta, glad to have you back. Loved watching you create with your paints and pens. I really love the water colored background. It's so hard to watch love ones suffering. Friday is my Dads funeral. Thank you for being so brave and opening up about what is going on with your family. It’s so hard to be so vulnerable and let people in. That’s what our souls need to be able to heal and to go through hard times. I hope you found some peace in telling your story. I know that this is from two weeks ago so I hope your mother-in-law is healed and is home. This turned out so lovely!! I have been trying to find a way to loosen up and forget about trying to paint something and instead just paint, you did just that. you just put colors on the page and where they made shapes you gave them a simple outline and painted in some simple leaves and I just find this so gorgeous. I am currently working on a hydrangea painting and it’s so tedious and I keep finding myself holding my breath and hunching my shoulders and clenching my jaw and that is the exact opposite of what I need to be doing right now. so I’m going to try to just put some paint on paper and not paint anything in particular. Maybe I’ll come back to this hydrangea painting… or maybe I won’t either way, thank you for the inspiration.

I haven't had much time for art lately. I truly enjoyed this video. The art and the update on you and your family...always from the heart! What's not to love about that! I love the simplicity of the watercolor washes and the ink lines as well as the extra pops of color. I am going to clear my art desk so that I can just sit down and enjoy a few minutes of art time when I have it...and when I don't have the time...I need to take a look at my time management!
