I am building a Bushcraft stone house. With your own hands

Friends, I went to the mountains and found a good place to build a new project. I cleaned it of leaves and branches and started digging a trench and dug a hole in the middle in the shape of a square, which we will need very much in the future. After that, he went in search of stones, of which he would need a lot, and immediately started building the walls. And here I needed a pit that I dug earlier and in it I made a solution for laying stones.
I also made myself an assistant who helped me a lot with large stones that are almost impossible to lift by myself. When building the stone walls, I immediately installed frames for windows and doors. And where without a cool stove, I put the stove itself on the outside, but the chimney went along one of the walls inside the house.

I like the way you moved those logs. Many years ago, my dad told me to cut the "rollers" a bit shorter and around 5 inches thick. It's way better and easier than dragging logs somewhere with a rope.

WOW! Gorgeous stone work. Love how the chimney goes along one side of the wall inside the house. Is that so you can make sleeping quarters above the chimney to keep warm throughout the nights? I would appreciate feedback on this. I am surprised that all of the stones are really rectangular and flat sided. Where I live , not one stone looks like these, not in France, not in Africa, not in the States. So I’m puzzled. I liked the workmanship and the great ideas., like the pendulum to lift the heaviest stones. Why put the fireplace outside? I have many questions about this video.

Collecting the stones took a very long time; it was not easy to deal with them. It’s good that this type of stone can be processed with a wedge hammer. Here in Ukain you can find everything, and not just rectangular stones. If you have any other questions, I will be happy to answer them.
