Music by Farya Faraji, vocals by Farya Faraji and Kelareh Kabiri. Please note that this isn’t reconstructed music from the Achaemenid era, only modern music with an ancient theme. Cyrus was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire, the first Persian Empire in Iranian history that took over the previous Median Empire. He is widely regarded by modern Iranians to be the father of Iran, and was one of the most revered kings in Antiquity, admired by Alexander and Caesar, and seen even into the Renaissance as the model for what a king should be. The lyrics are in Old Persian and Akkadian, the first being from what is called the CMa inscription found on Palace P of Pasargadae. The second are from the Cyrus Cylinder, a document describing Cyrus’ taking power over the Babylonian Empire, and how he restored the temples, cults and sacred images. Due to this, the document is often proclaimed by to be the first declaration of Human Rights in history, and while this is an exaggeration given that the concept of human rights did not exist back then, and the text embodies nowhere near the values promulgated by modern human rights (the *actual* text-there are false translations commonly circulated around the Internet); the Achaemenid policy of cultural and religious tolerance nevertheless remains something they were renowned for, and there are current regimes 2500 years later that lack behind them in this regard. This video is posted on the 29th October given that it is the national day of Cyrus in Iran, although not his actual birthday as it is unkown. Lyrics in Old Persian: Adam kuruš xšâya, Thiya haxâmanišiya, Kûruš, xšâyathiya, Vazraka, haxâmanišiya Wašna Auramazdaha, Adam xšayathiya amyi, Auramazda, xšhahiam, Mana frabara thatyi. I am Cyrus, King, an Achaemenian, Cyrus the great King, an Achaemenian By the grace of Ahura Mazda, I am King Lyrics in Akkadian: a-na-ku mKu-ra-aŠ Šar kiŠ-Š at Šarru rabu Šarru dan-nu Š ar Babili Šar mât Š ú-me-ri ú Ak-ka-di Šar kib-ra-a-ti ir-bit-tim mar mKa-am-bu-zi-ia Šarru rabu Šar alu An-Š á-an mar mari mKu-ra-aŠ Šarru rabu Šar alu An-Š á-an ŠA.BAL.BAL m Š i-iŠ-pi-iŠ Š arru rabu Šar alu An-Š a-an I am Cyrus, king of the world, the great king, the powerful king, king of Babylon, king of Sumer and Akkad, king of the four quarters of the world, Son of Cambyses, the great king, king of the city of Anshan, grandson of Cyrus, the great king, king of the city of Anshan; great-grandson of Teispes, the great king, king of the city of Anshan.

"Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, 2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. 3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem." Ezra 1:1-3 Cyrus is highly praised throughout the Old Testament. Most Persian rulers were. Even Xerxes.

However actual Human Rights are not a concept discovered until millennia later, during the Enlightenment period.

This is the man that originated and made the title "The Great" famous. Let me be honest with you for a moment. I feel so upset that the Arab people (my people) never produced a man like Kourosh. We did produce Ahmad but then again the Iranian people produced Zoroaster. He was respectful to the people he conquered by allowing them to freely practice their own religion (respected their god(s)) and speak their own languages and have their own culture and freed the slaves (the Jews: He is the only none Jewish person to be called the Messiah in the Tanakh by the Jews) and gave the Iranian people their first empire. Start by throwing off the Islamic Regime that rules your lands now, the same one which destroyed almost anything that existed before themselves. Strength comes from the heart, not from outside. One who feels strongly IS strong. Just the emotion you feel deep inside whenever you listen to something activating your inner Patriot (like this song) is powerful enough to shape history. You want what you see in your dreams? The return of an Empire based upon Freedom, Dignity, and Wealth? Take it! Reach out with others and take what is yours! Spread this feeling. Your love of country and desire for that which worked before. Spread it amongst all who are relevant.

@@Im_great_cyrusi dont understand how germanic and aryan people are close i mean the people at caucasia after scythians and europeans (celtic, germanic, italic, hellenic, slavic, baltic, uralic) people differ from eachother the rest of scythian people separated as some scyhtians stayed there and sarmatians as well rest have became indo aryan people differing to indians and aryan people (medes, parthians, persians, bactrians etc.) So all became separate like that and those scythians stayed on north just didnt changed like their old european and indo aryan cousins and they have met with altaic tribes like proto turks and mongols so scythians just mixed with steppe people later also with aryan people and they just vanished away today or do they todays caucaisans? Idk. Probably name scythians appeared way after the separation of people to form races so i think aryan people we know today and germans arent that close because europeans separated long time ago from caucasian people which some of them became indians and aryan people today i mean i dont know if all aryan people considered one race like parsi, afghani, tajik, kurd arent really the same. So i dont think indians, aryans and well celtic or germanic people are really being one race but the skull is caucasid and though samitic people like arent in this group they also have caucasid skull. I mean germanic people are one race, european people are bunch of races and indo european people are bunch of bunch of races..

Cyrus is even mentioned in the Bible " Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whom he has taken by his right hand to subdue nations before him and strip the loins of kings, to force gateways before him that their gates be closed no more: I will go before you levelling the heights. I will shatter the bronze gateways, smash the iron bars. I will give you the hidden treasures, the secret hoards, that you may know that I am the Lord."- Isaiah 45:1-3 and also most likely also the Qu'ran as Dhu al-Qarnayn
