@crownpoint9 That's actually me and my brother doubled. We recorded in front of a green screen, two vocals at a time. So, the first pass, I was the bass on the left and he did the melody third from the left. Second pass, I was the alto on the far right and he was the little tenor guy. Then, we joined the two together and I played with our sizes in Adobe After Effects - plus added the grainy, film look and made it black and white. Neat what you can do with computers. ~Stephen

Wow! I've been watching this for years as I think it is one of the greatest version of this hymn. Never suspected that it was just the two of you doing this. Out of curiosity, do you know who you would have heard sing it "decades" ago? We learned it from a Gaither video done by Doyle Lawson and Qucksilver, but that was from 2003 I believe and I'm assuming you know it from longer ago than that. :-)

I have heard Gaither's sing it but I remember it from my childhood and that was at least 55 years ago. Every night my mother used to listen to the Haven of Rest Quartet with First Mate, Bob, and the Good Ship Grace. That is probably where I remember it from. I don't know for sure because I've been around Christian music all my life but that was where I learned to love Christian music. You have given a whole new dimension to Christian music and I just discovered you about a week ago. I had seen your video, In Christ Alone, and fell in love with your music so I found you on KZbin and am so blessed. Do you do concerts or travel? I would love to meet you in person some day.

No concerts planned. If there were ever a big enough interest, who knows. It is quite the ordeal to go across the border to the US. Apparently coming into Canada is easy for a musician wanting to perform, but the US has paperwork and dollars you have to take care of. Not that that's an insurmountable obstacle if travelling for performing were a possibility, but at this point, just makes it harder to even consider. Praying to record more music and expand the audience. For the glory of God and ministering to others. :-)

Not really a group. My brothers and I recorded and released an album of original songs back in 2009 and then started this KZbin channel to share that music - and whatever else we wanted to record. This song we originally heard on a Gaither Bluegrass DVD and thought it would be fun for my brother (Nathan) and I (Stephen) to try to do. With a little green screen work, it's amazing what you can do. :-)

Lais, the song was written by my dad, Charles B. Wycuff, in the early 40s. It was published in 1944. My dad also wrote "What A Lovely Name" and many others.
