No one ever talks about the standing. Holy crap the standing...youre standing nearly all day (20h+). It will kill you because it makes all the running and getting smoked that much worse. 100% work on your endurance above anything else.

Thanks for making these series. Really informative in terms of what to expect the first few days. Going to PRC in February and hopefully walk onto to actual RS right after.

Just be ready to get smoked, once u go through the gate, its double time, no company assigned, support pax will process u in, PT test, if u pass, assigned to companies, layout equipment, missing equipment, move aside, if u make it to the nite, next day 5am 5mile run after extensive leg workout prior to run, fallout, on truck and pack your gear, this is the process first week, classes and PT, 2nd week roadmarch to camp rogers for patrols, served as RI,

So many similarities of your class today with my class in November 1982 and even my dad's class in 1958. Though not getting smoked by Morgan Cmte on Day One at 0300, you missed something.

Thanks Dave, I am glad there are still similarities...I thought these stories might be out of date after 10 years (I graduated in 2012), but I guess not!

@@AustinCaroe I experienced more than a few of my dad's Class 11-58 recollections in Class 3 and 4-83.

www.stripes.com/news/age-is-no-obstacle-soldiers-complete-army-s-toughest-schools-after-40-1.571375 It's not about age, it's about your physical condition and desire to graduate. You won't know unless you try!

@@AustinCaroe it’s been a dream of mine but went a different route when having the opportunity to own a valet business. It’s gone now due to Covid and 10 yrs have gone by since before I was going to join. Being that it was valet it’s kept me in great shape running 6-7 miles a day chasing after cars lol

My father was Distinguished Honor Grad of Class 11-58. He was a CPT(P), 33 years old. He also went from Ranger School to the SF Q Course. 1958 was a hard year for him! LOL. Only you can answer your question and you won't know until you get there.
