I wrote I Am His and He Is Mine on December 4, 1970. I had given birth to my first son Ryan Dobson the day before and was hemorrhaging. I had the assurance God was with me and that everything would be all right. Praise God for His faithfulness.

My youngest son would listen to them sing when he was sad. I lost my first husband in 2000 and my boy's and I had a hard time with it my husband was only 32 at the time. Five years later in the same month my youngest son was killed. I would sit and watch The Trio on VHS with him. I miss them both and I will see them again.

I would like the copyright for I Am His And He Is Mine. I am one of the original authors. My first husband Ivan C. Parker and I co-wrote I Am His And He Is Mine on January 13, 1973 as we sat in the airport in Haifa waiting for our return flight to the United States. The first verse and chorus were written by me in Flemish and the second verse was written by Ivan C. Parker in Italian. We worked on the translation into English as we flew home.
