I wrote What A Lovely Name in May of 1970. I was severely abused by my step grandfather and had to be hospitalized for brain bleeding. I sang this song 🎵 in Flemish to comfort myself. My mother translated it into English. Vestal Goodman is my mother's aunt and when the Goodmans came to visit I gave them the copyright ©️. God healed me and restored my mind to normal. Praise His holy Name!

What a wonderful moment. Only Ivan Parker (and Mark, of course) is still performing. Anthony Burger passed away in 2006 at the age of 44; Vestal went home in 2003 and Kirk Talley had to medically retire because of voice issues in 2012. To have this to remember is priceless.

He joined the group The Kingsmen when he was 16 and while with them played a guest performance with a group called The Gems; the site: "Glory Road Teddy Huffam and the Gems w/Introduction". I would like the copyright for What A Lovely Name. I am the original writer of the song. It was written on June 1, 1970 when Howard & Vestal Goodman came to see me in the hospital. I had just regained consciousness after an anurism. The son What A Lovely Name was originally written in Flemish and translated into English by my mother. I gave the copyright to Howard Goodman.
