More drivers need to do specials like this; it makes them more human, and gives us fans an ability to connect with people on a different level than just what we see at the track or social media. Plus, it would probably bring new fans into the sport (like the two different series on Netflix and Peacock)

I go back with Kevin all the way to watching him run the #2 AC Delco car in the Busch Series for Childress. I've been a fan since the beginning. I always knew he had greatness in him. Earnhardt had him hand picked as his successor- so you know that Dale saw that in him from the start as well. I always hoped he'd be a Childress/ DEI lifer, but after 2001, I just wanted to see Kevin succeed wherever he raced. And he did that, and more.

This documentary was well done! Kevin’s a legend on track and tells things how it is whether you like it or not. He may be polarizing, but he’s a legend. He was no Dale Earnhardt and I’m glad he was his own driver. Honestly he’s the best and recent thing to happen on FOX Sports in a long time!

I can't believe he pulled off that shove of Kelowski. I never knew that occurred. He literally went up to someone else's smoke and turned it into a blaze as a calculated move. Amazing! That's just another thing that made him legendary. He knew the pursuit of an edge didn't end outside of the car. Rather outside the car was one place he could find what no other drivers or teams even thought to look for. A mental advantage . A chess move. A redirection of the narrative to put pressure on the other guys and keep it off of himself.

#1. In the moments after Dale passed and Kevin was announced the driver I wasn't sure that was the right move. I was dead wrong. Kevin really is the only 25 year old young man who could've done what he did in that car. #2 I cannot WAIT to watch Piper Harvick to get to a high level of the sport for one reason. For all the times I've watched talented female racers in stock cars the one thing I've always looked for is that first moment a guy tries to mess around with them on track, how do they handle that. Most to date have rolled over and been owned on track from that moment forward. Piper sounds like she will take ZERO shit. And if she keeps that attitude when driving, and she continues to race, she might be that one girl that comes along and sets a LOT marks for others to follow. Think about what racers said about their run in's with Dale Sr. If you let him get away with it the first time, he'd own you every time. Every woman in racing has had those moments and not many to date have passed that test. I think Piper's attitude will make her one of very few that does...

Kevin Harvick is a Flyers fan, but he never mentioned Eric Lindros the OG #88 GOAT.

Pay attention... Piper Harvick WILL be a NASCAR racer when she's older. And she will be amazing at it. Just look at the things she was saying & how dedicated to cart racing she is already at her young age in this video 📹. She mentioned how she wanted to hit the other driver with her car 🚗... because the other driver moved her. She knows the lingo... and the tricks to the trade already. She probably studies the drivers & their driving styles & tricks when she watches racing 🏎. And then tries to take that & apply it on the race track. She WILL be a force to reckon with on the track... especially as she gets older & gets more experience over the years... even through her years as a youth driving 🚗. Even on the races she doesn't win... she seems like the type... that reflects on the race 🏁, watches any videos 📹 on it... and then studies & tries to learn from it all. Not just her driving... but also her competition.

If SHR had not slumped as a team, Kevin would have ended his career at his peak. As it was, for those who paid any attention, his accomplishments in the 4 as contrasted with that of his three teammates shows what his grit and talent were truly accomplishing. Had he won dozens of more races or another championship, no doubt many naysayers would credit his equipment more than his skill as a driver. Instead week after week for years he turned top 20 or worse cars into consistent top 5's and 10's. He strapped into junk to start most races and consistently finished ahead of many of the best cars on the track.

This car is dangerous. And I guarantee you that’s why he retired. He keeps mentioning “getting out of the car healthy” and little comments about “the car crashes hard” and other little things like that. Between that and SHR not being competitive anymore. I believe that’s why he’s done. He also seems to have gripes with NASCAR that he can’t talk about
