I think Thanksgiving has a pattern of one of the Feasts of the Lord, Tabernacles. I'm a MOM (mother of men) of 3 sons and love watching you 3 guys. Tyler is like the guy on the old Dobie Gillis Show -- who was before E. F. Hutton ... when he speaks people listen ... except the brothers sometimes outtalk him ... but he's fun to watch navigate the big brothers. Really enjoy y'all. Congrats on beautiful families.

Great podcast. Not going to debunk anything but add to your conversation. Favorite holiday is Easter first, Christmas second, Thanksgiving third, 4th of July fourth. Halloween is best holiday to decorate for. I think holiday rankings is dependent on age one is. People came over from England in the 1600s for mostly two reasons. Economic and freedom of religion. Mayo on turkey helps keep the meat moist and tender when baked in the oven. Best turkey I ever made was with mayo. What’s Tyler’s news that wasn’t shared?

I loved this episode it was a fun one. Three brothers sitting around shooting the breeze. It was so natural. Please continue to do that. I am excited and curious about about Tyler. I think congratulations is coming. I'm glad to hear Granger is ecstatic about Parker and Amy's baby. Because when they shared it on the Smith's Granger just didn't have the excitement I thought he would. Happy Thanksgiving Smith's and family!

Really enjoyed the chat today. I like how y'all bounce from subject to subject the way y'all do. Let's us know this is real and not rehearsed. It's just brothers sitting around talking about stuff, with a loose agenda of some things that are supposed to be discussed. I've got two questions, though: 1. David? Guess there will be more about that later. 2. What about Tyler's news, or was that just a Granger tease? Hope you and all of the Yee Yee staff have an amazing Thanksgiving (my favorite holiday). Please know that we are grateful for y'all. #YeeYee

In our denomination (reformed) we do not celebrate Halloween. Instead we have church services remembering Reformation Day when Martin Luther boldly posted his 95 thesis on the church doors. Now it would be a good idea to research my church history books to read what the 95 thesis actually said.

Oh my I just love this. This is just me but I rank Easter as number one on the holiday list as Jesus died for us as it's more profound. Two would be Christmas as it's become to commercialized. Three is Thanksgiving as to give thanks for what we have. Four would be the 4th of July as the birth of our great country. Five would be Memorial day as folks gave their lives for our freedoms. I think a lot of people lose sight of these holidays as they look at them as just fun days off from work. I miss the Bob Hope specials as they seem to bring the country together. Our country has fallen into despair. Just want to let you know I love seeing y'all together as so heartwarming. Thank you so much.

Really enjoyed this podcast! As a side note…there may be one very upset wife/sister-in-law if the turkey isn’t fried! I think I’ve heard Amber say on at least two Smiths that fried turkey is the best! Have a happy Thanksgiving all of you!

I agree about Easter. I say Happy Resurrection Day. I also say Happy Independence Day as opposed to 4th of July. That is just a date. Independence Day is a reason.

I feel like Thanksgiving gets the short end on the stick. I feel bad for Thanksgiving. I also think you should also get the day after July 4 off because you are up late celebrating with fireworks and they usually don't end until Midnight.

It's a good thing a majority of people work on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays. Lots of people still need nursing care and like to get groceries.

It depends who you are asking. I’d be surprised if anyone really matched. If you put some other criteria out there. Thanks guys. Mine is Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July. I’m not excited about Thanksgiving. Turkey is away overrated. All my guys are working anyway. I’m in Wisconsin, my family is in Missouri and my inloves are in Canada. So no no one here is getting together. Now my immediate family will get together around Christmas.

No, just brine the turkey for 24 hours. Then bake it, there will be no dry meat.
