Mr. Raoul made me so proud, being Haitian myself to see his research and lengthy hard work.

R Rodriguez Actually, Mr Peck just completed a film about Karl Marx, the renown 19th century thinker who developed the communist theory.

I'm curious why this video does not have closed captioning turned on. I would love to show it in my film class but I need CC to comply with ADA.

Great film!...It is so relatable to what's going on today. I was very much disturbed watching the black women acoustic by the police. To see the white policeman with his knee on a black woman neck was so disturbing. It was very much a reminiscent to what happened to George Floyd on May 25, 2020, when a white policeman's knee was on his neck, ultimately killing him over allegedly a counterfeit twenty dollar bill.To observe systemic brutalization of black people shown fifty plus years ago televised, or recorded is shocking. It simply reviled that things have not changed for the better. It simply show that the cruelty to blacks still exist. Also, near the end of the film when the array of young African American youth , and Latino youth were showcase as public enemy #1, I just felt like these are babies being incarcerated. This is the narrative plastered on the daily and evening news. I hope that more people get to see this movie. I hope that with the wake of George Floyd, and countless others who have lose their lives that changes and reforms take place. The movie touch upon all the disparity that African Americans face daily. I hope that one day we can see this as a thing of the past. Until then the struggle continues. Kudos to Raoul Peck, James Baldwin, Samuel L. Jackson, and The Estate of James Baldwin, and the countless others that did an outstanding job putting this venture together. This need to be apart of the social studies curriculum in schools. I truly appreciated your contribution.
