If this was in theory ALL disallowed... You could switch the boosting service to "a bunch of friends wanting to help me". Are friends a bannable offense? Will Jagex deploy a group of detectives onto you to find out if it is your friends or a paid service? It's an MMO, dang it. (edit: and to a further extent, I agree with the cape buyers only robbing themselves of the experience. Getting your panties in a bunch because a stranger did something is bizarre. What matters is the people closer to you and getting to share that experience and everyone congratulating each other for their achievement.) Interesting series idea! I often see people talk about "ooh, but is your ironman boosted??" but I haven't personally seen anything concrete for what that boosting actually looks like. So this is interesting to see as to what that boosting actually is.

I used to know people who did account servicing and they said there are tons of high level ironmen buying all types of services you can think of. Combat achievements, raid kc, drops, capes, exp, questing, etc. People just want to show off and pretend they did things. They just want the attention, just like when people donate money to streamers. They don't care that they didn't do it themselves, because everyone else THINKS they did it themselves.
