I think Butcher has a Venom thing going on. Which kind of fits with all the Web Weaver stuff.

The 15:50 edit omfg😭In my heart of hearts I’m truly hoping butcher pulls thru but with the venom parallels and the canon diabolical show eps, it’s not looking so hot

I think my favourite thing about the Boys, is that they take shots at both sides. Like in this episode they mentioned AOC and Zendaya, one side, and then as well as making references to the prison-industrial complex, generational wealth born of the slave trade and racist infrastructure, direct references to Republicans like Todd Akin, and using quotes they actually said, as well as Santorum, and Pence, showing John as being unable to handle being persuasive to people he can't just kill, because he isn't actually intelligent, and having to be bailed out of the situation by a woman, and ultimately how his plans also involve literal concentration camps, so the other side. See... shots at both sides. Right in the middle. Okay my actually favourite thing about this episode, was some of the smaller subtle moments (relatively speaking), like Ashley might be into some freaky things, but she actually seemed concerned when the person she assumes is Web Weaver showed distress, and she backed down, until Robert (Tek) said that Web Weaver would use his safe word. I liked MM actually taking the tie to try and calm down A-Train, get him to slow down, and presumably reassure him. Robert carrying over some of his small physical acting mannerisms from Gen V, like the finger around the wine glass rim. So much good acting as per usual as well. Oh actually one other thing. I really like how supportive and sweet Hughie and Annie are to each other this season. I much prefer this seasons dynamic they have of being supportive, understanding, over some of the past seasons tension around insecurity. That being said, really want Kimiko and Frenchie to get to a nicer headspace too. Oh and great reactions as always (editing always top tier!)

It seems highly unlikely that ONE scientist working in terrible conditions could develop such a virus at all, much less quickly. I hope that storyline fails, to be honest.

He wouldn't be developing the virus, he'd simply be extracting it. Which as far as SoD goes, Shirley, you can't draw the line there right? Matter of fact, covid virus strains have been collected from corpses.
@MatthewTheWanderer4 ай бұрын
@@ananousous Um, no, he would definitely have to "develop" it. Remember, Butcher told the scientist that he wants him to develop a new virus that is strong even to kill Homelander. He absolutely did not simply ask for the scientist to "extract it". If THAT is all he wanted, then, it would be a LOT easier. It would have been completed already, in fact. So, you are completely wrong. You should pay more attention when you watch the show!
@ananousous4 ай бұрын
@@MatthewTheWanderer He is extracting the virus from the sheep. Making a strain of that virus strong enough to kill Homelander is quite different from developing an entire virus on its own. Again, not being able to suspend your disbelief here after everything else in this series is just clown behavior desperate to act smarter than you really are.
