From this song? "Dry my tears 'cause I'm a weapon. Weapons never weep." It tells me the whole song is an inner monologue of someone who *wants* to be the danger and is talking themselves into not being a victim.

I quite literally have the T-shirt, "I'm not in danger, I am the danger." Suggestion: try the music video for Disciple to get an example of the multiple vocals. Then, to prove they are legit, the live version of Evolve at the MTV VMAs and the live version of Disciple at CDMX 2022. You are about to be pleasantly bombarded with comments by The Warning Army. A bit of trivia, but members of TWA are in the Disciple video. Just wait until you get to the Enter Sandman trifecta, the Animosity anime, and them playing Survive in the Rock Band game.

Welcome to The Warning. Great that you got here through BandMaid, and great to have another woodwind player stopping by. The Warning Army welcomes you to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With three studio albums, several live concert videos, and a new album on the way (to be released June 28), we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records. This three-piece is: Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar) Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums) Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay [but you knew that already, not everyone does LOL], 19yo, bass) All three sisters sing and all are classically trained on piano. This music video is really enjoyable. For me, live is their magic sauce. The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of classic rock, metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex (heck, the post-chorus hook in this piece is in 7). What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as mine, their musical maturity is exceptionally high. Need another suggestion? From The Warning’s KZbin page you might choose from: - MORE from the MTV VMAs (or this song, EVOLVE, live form that same performance!) - DISCIPLE, CHOKE, ANIMOSITY, 23, or any other song from their 2022 show at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (aka Mexico City) - The official music video for XXI CENTURY BLOOD - SURVIVE from their 2017 TedX talk - The official music video for their new releases S!CK or Que Mas Quieras (in Spanish) - Their most recent live new release from 2023 Pepsi Center of Hell You Call A Dream There are really no bad choices. They are something special live. Their energy, charisma, and musicality really shine when in front of an audience. In the past two years I have flown all over North America and seen them 7 times. Can’t wait for the chance to travel and see them again. The only other band I have traveled like this for in more than 40 years of concert going was Rush. We would love to have you join us in The Warning Army as one of the Warneros. The Warning can be a deep rabbit hole, but we have plenty of space down here for you. Good luck on your journey!!

I happened to stumble across these sisters while looking for drummers on KZbin in the summer of 2013. Paulina was so cute and talented as a 10 year old that I had to find more movies with her. Then I discovered that she had two equally talented sisters and then it was over for me. 7 years later I flew from Stockholm to Los Angeles to see them perform two nights at the club Whisky a GoGo in Hollywood. I have no children of my own and am not even married. Suddenly the sisters' parents made me feel like part of their family and nothing could be better. No negatives about marriage or parenthood, only the positives. Economically speaking, it is also a big advantage. No obligations, only benefits. 🤘😁🤘

As we (TWA - The Warning Army fan base) say to people who first find The Warning: "You Have Been Warned!" I only found them on 11/9/2021 - The Warning & Alessia Cara remade Metallica's Enter Sandman as part of Metallica's 30th Anniversary of the Black album, I think over 50 other artists were invited to cover/remake songs from that album. Their remake is unlike any version of Enter Sandman you may have heard, and it was fitting since The Warning first went viral with a straight cover of Enter Sandman when they were very young in 2014. I saw them live when they were on tour with Halestorm; Lzzy Hale is a big fan and just loves Dany.

Not just a 3 person band. 3 Sisters. The Villarreal Velez sisters, Daniela (Dany ,now age 24) on guitar and most lead vocals, Paulina (Pau, pronounced Pow, 22) on drums and some lead vocals, Alejandra (Ale 19), on bass. All do backing vocals. Ale will sing lead if needed, but none recorded with her on lead. Been playing together over 10 years. Their straight cover of Enter Sandman, at ages 14 12 and 9, was posted for family and friends, and went viral. Several EP's and 3 full albums, with #4 due out in June. They have opened for Foo Fighters, Muse, Halestorm, Def Leppard, 3 Days Grace, G'N'R. The Warning is great live, they played this song , from the 3rd album Error, at the 2023 mtv music awards. Anything from the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show is awesome, "Disciple" is a good one to start with from there. The live for their newest song, Hell You Call A Dream, is out , from Pepsi Center CDMX. For Pau (drummer) singing lead, "Dust To Dust" or "23" from the Teatro 2022 show. She didn't have it on in this video, but she wears a headset mic on stage. Also , if interested in their gear, all 3 sisters recorded gear masters episodes last summer, on 'digital tour bus'.

I’m 66 years old and I discovered them on March 2020 during the world pandemic just when they were about to tour, and then caught them by pure chance on YT when they were about to start a live concert from their basement. These sisters are very talented, humble and down to earth. What impressed me at the time in 2020 was their ages Daniela (Dany) 20, lead vocals, guitar, piano, Paulina (Pau) 18, vocals, drums, piano, and sings a few songs as lead and exchanges leads with Dany in some songs, very versatile for a power trio! Last but not least by any chance Alejandra (Ale) 15 backing vocals, bass, piano. They call her their secret weapon! Ale has a beautiful voice and she has sang lead when Dany has been under the weather or to give her a break but by her own admission, Ale prefers not to sing. She loves rocking out on the bass! These sisters have been playing together as band since they were 13,11, and 8. They celebrated their 10 year anniversary as a band since last August 2023 These young women bring something fresh and unique that was lacking in Rock but at the same time they have influences from past decades of Rock all the way to the 70s . You have come a a great time in The Warning's journey. They are releasing a new album on June 28th, and a week from today they are dropping the 5th dong from the album, Automatic Sun. Watching your reaction, it has hit me that this song can really express the band's direction with this new album. They are evolving their sound, giving themselves license to just experiment and have fun. The red lighting at the end of the video I think might also be explained as as explosion of passion. The unbridled joy of moving past expectations and perceived limitations, taking the next step in their musical and personal evolution. The new album, Keep Me Fed, has cover art that features the band each wearing red, and I wonder if that is just a coincidence, or if it is maybe a call back to this song from the 3rd album, warning us that they will be evolving.

They were taught how to songwrite and arrange (for a variety of genres, no less) at very young ages back in 2013-14. Some of their "homework assignments" were released as an iTunes EP in the spring of 2015 (ages 15-13-10), and a few more were the beginning of their first album released in 2016 (ages 16-14-11). The wrote, arranged and produced their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, released in 2018 when they were 18-16-13. They were signed by Lava Records in 2020 (after a 7-month courtship) and finished recording their 3rd album at the end of 2020 (ages 20-18-15) but because of the pandemic they didn't release anything until 2021 (as a 5-song EP "Mayday") so they could tour to support it. The full album ("ERROR") was released in 2022 (ages 22-20-17) and they made over 100 tour stops that year, including support gigs for The Foo Fighters, Guns 'n' Roses, Halestorm, and Three Days Grace, plus two headlining shows at the 3000+ capacity Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. In 2023 they opened 9 times for their favorite band, Muse, played in Europe for the first time, headlined at the 8000+ capacity Pepsi Center in Mexico City, and blew the roof off at the MTV VMAs, a gig they were invited to even though they weren't nominated for anything. This year they are playing a month-long headlining tour in Europe, in 1000-2000 capacity venues, and are expected to spend a lot of the summer playing at major European festivals. In February 2022 they headline at the 10000+ capacity Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.

Enjoyed your reaction and analysis! Discovered The Warning by accident at Summerfest in 2022. They were one of who knows how many bands playing a number of different stages, but I liked their logo, so I sat down to listen and was totally blown away (massive understatement). Been in the rabbit hole ever since. Saw them again in Chicago in 2023. Proud owner of three T-shirts, two Dr. Simi dolls, Artist-level Patreon membership, and everything they've ever recorded. Possibly the best rock band I've ever heard, especially live, and I go back quite a ways!

First reaction to these talented sisters? Your comment section will explode… 😉 Enjoyed your reaction, you noticed these rhythmical changes! Their super power is live… even better than the best studio version, especially their voices! Try the newest single Hell You Call A Dream, the live version from the Pepsi Center. Or Evolve and More from the MTV Video Awards! I‘ll see them live in less than 3 weeks on their nearly sold out Euro tour, can’t wait! Thanks, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘

The drummer is always using those headset type mics, she hasn't one here just for the clean esthetics of the video.

You have just found one of the best bands on the planet today. Congratulations. Live, the drummer has a mike and is often the lead singer. In "Dust to Dust" she is the main singer. BTW - I recommend you to look at live stuff. There are two very secure alternatives. * Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (lots of songs, choose any, they are all very good) * MTV Video Music Award (More and Evolve)

As hard as it is to believe, this song is even more powerful and intense when they perform it live. The MTV Awards show performance is a great example of that. I started following them after the release of their first album, and I've been entranced ever since. I've seen them twice and both times they blew the roof off the place, they do not hold anything back, always giving everything they've got, and without a doubt one of the best live bands I have ever seen. I have their vinyls, CDs, and signed merch, I met them twice, once at a meet & greet, and once when we were backstage at their show. They are super nice and down-to-earth people. They love their fans and they show it, and TWA loves them.

I first heard The Warning listening to the Metallica Blacklist album. Their re-imagining of Enter Sandman was the first track. Right then and there I decided to learn all I could about them. Thankfully, so much of their history is chronicled on KZbin. I got to see them live in Philadelphia about two years ago and unfortunately missed out on seeing them last year in Baltimore due to personal issues but The Warning is a recent discovery, and one of the only bands I listen to nowadays. Thank you for reacting to them! They are such an amazing gift!

Someone said they stole that line about the danger from Breaking Bad - don't know since I haven't watched it much - and yes, it was filmed with 16 (I think) Iphones and a drone

So glad you enjoyed that - you'll suddenly find yourself inundated with others that feel the same way (The Warning Army! TWA). To answer one or two points you brought up. The guitar Dany is is playing is a PRS - she is a signature artist, and sings lead vocals on most songs. All three of them sing, the drummer (Paulina - Pau pronounced POW!) also takes lead vocals on quite a few of their songs. Pau is a signature artist for Sabian Cymbals and was awarded 'Drumeo Rock Drummer of the Year 2023'. Alejandra (Bass) does mostly backing vocals which is her preference - she has sung lead vocals when Dany has been ill or needed to rest her voice. Ale is a signature artist for Spector Guitars and plays a Custom NS 5 String Bass with a finish called Ale's Inferno! They are 3 sisters. All three are classically trained pianists. Dany and Ale also play Saxophone. They celebrated their 10th year as a band last year. Despite this they are still only 19 (Ale), 22 (Pau) and 24 (Danny) years old! Although the studio songs are great, it's when they play live they really shine and their energy really comes through - for example, this song live at the "MTV Video Music Awards 2023" really kicks *** 😁 They have a new album out on June 28th this year (their 4th) called "Keep Me Fed". The last single they released is called "Hell You Call a Dream" and the Official Live version from their channel is definitely worth a listen (performed at the Pepsi Center CDMX) Any track from the Official Live of the "Teatro Metropolitan CDMX" will not disappoint should you want more live! Dany does not usually solo in the way you would traditionally think. I often tell people that The Warning has gone farther already than any rock band I know without a bona-fide lead guitarist. I am not really sure they need one. They did this song at the 2023 Mtv music awards, did it in one take, and basically embarrassed every other act there. People wrote about it for weeks.

Dany is, indeed, a bona-fide lead guitarist. She calls it playing "lythm guitar"!

There’s only one thing to say, You’ve Been Warned! Welcome to The Warning Army, TWA, which grows everyday. You gotta react to at least one of their live performances cuz that where they shine the most. They are built to play live. There’s practically nothing that stops them from playing live. From Ale slipping on stage to Pau breaking her sticks to Dani forgetting the words. They just keep going forward all the time. I know you will enjoy the rabbit hole that is their online presence of videos and performances. Rock on! 🤘

The 3 Villarreal sisters from Monterrey ... Oldest to youngest, Dany (vo). Pau (dr), Ale (ba). I will get some shade for this, but it was with this video and song that The Warning really started to exist for me as something more than a cover band. Yes, I know they had other songs, but EVOLVE made me stand up and take notice and I have followed them closely since. The Pau scream gets me every time. This video was made with 16 iPhones and 2 drones. I saw them last year here in Detroit and they really put on a great show. They really do play all over the world so you will have a pretty good chance to see them live if you want to. I'd highly suggest it!

I saw their viral Sandman video from 2014 about 8 years ago. Almost 5 years ago I became immersed in their music, especially with the release of Queen of the Murder Scene. I became a patron and finally got my chance to see them live in 2022. First show I had been to in 40 years. I am particularly amazed that all of their songs are great, something I couldn't say about any other band, even the greats.
@rolandkarlsson70729 ай бұрын
Apropos Enter Sandman - there are three videos to see. * The one from 2014 when they were just kids, and killed it! * The Music video with their very unique version, together with Alessia Cara (this is unbelivable) * The live version of the same one

The drummer Paulina (aka Pau) is actually the second lead singer and the main backup singer. Bassist Alejandra (aka Ale) only occasionally sings back-ups. In this song, all three are harmonizing on the choruses, but the harmonies during the verses are lead singer Daniella (aka Dani) and drummer Pau. They're all three sisters.

To add to the chorus here, you *gotta* hear them live. You think they're at 10 now, watch them go to 12 on stage. This is the most electrifying live band I've ever seen. They have a whole series of professionally shot and recorded clips from a 2022 show at the Téatro Metropolitán in Mexico City that are phenomenal. Some recommendations: "Dust to Dust" (Paulina, the drummer, sings lead), "Choke," "Amour," (they're all great, tbh). And the two clips from the MTV Video Music Awards, including this song, are spellbinding. You'd think, most artists do more and better in the studio when they aren't under the pressure of live performance - that is *not* true for The Warning. They absolutely bring it, every time.

I first discovered The Warning last year and it inspired me to buy tickets to see live music for the first time in decades. The show was fantastic. They are even better live than they are in the studio. They have an official live video of one of their most-recent singles, Hell you Call a Dream, if you want to see/hear what they're like currently. Also worth checking out is anything from their August 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City, but highlights would be Z (the show opener), Disciple (where Dany, the guitarist, and Pau, the drummer, trade off lead vocals) or Dust to Dust (where Pau sings lead.) But the whole show is fantastic.
