Basically, it's the same as people who like Doctor Who. A tv show that sounds rubbish, but in reality excels all standards once originally set by people who watch it. Its a show with great animation and sound, as well as character personalities, etc.

I have to be REALLY sincere... I could not have put it better myself. If you have not watched it... just watch an episode. ANY episode. It does not matter which episode you watch. I can't recommend a bad one to you. Some have makeup that could have been better, but you can't complain about a stitch here and there when it really is one of the best productions with the longest running story line next to sesame street.
