As a semi speedrunner this game has a lot of wasted potential. The online mode is way too easy and you play against replays, not actual players. There are no leaderboards which ruins the grinding experience (at least for me). Dont get me wrong, I got really good placements in the first week of championship mode. But the week after I already didn’t want to grind anymore. I also got absolutely nothing for getting a Rank 1 and numerous Top 100 times. Meanwhile the weekly leaderboards in the world championship mode don’t even show you 99% of the times, but simply the few people ranked directly above/below you. And since it’s the NES everything comes down to the frame, so even if you get a WR, it’s highly likely no one will see it ingame since only one WR run is shown and like 20 people have probably tied your run. Hope they add more since this game just gets boring too fast.
