Hutts' dataminer idea is good, but I think to fit with the trollish nature of the item, there should be a 10% chance that the info it gives you is wrong. Imagine the comedic potential, you see your item room has magic mushroom and then you walk in and its the bean or something. I think that fits more with the original intention of pissing off dataminers without being completely good or completely bad.

​@@Natycik theres a much wider potential usage range though with dataminer. you could have it reveal what an unexplored room would look like by using it on a door so you can decide if it's worth it or not, or use it on a reroll machine to see what things will be rerolled into. if you generalize it to an information gathering active item, then there's a ton of potential ways it could be reworked.

I've had an idea for Delirious to buff it. It would work like larynx where you can use it with any charge, but the higher the charge, the stronger a boss is. That way you can choose how strong you want it to be.

Fun fact found through datamining: Lil portal is actually bugged. When the floor is fully explored, it tries to make a portal to a deal room, then to error room. However, Isaac can't enter those portals because of a bug (It checks if room id is above 0, deal and error are rooms -1 and -2).

5:26 I don't think the swap is necessary... It ends up almost making Stitches nearly entirely obsolete. While i do agree that Abel should always shoot in the other direction instead of just toward the center of the room (isaac shoots down, Abel shoots up, isaac shoots left, Abel shoots right, yada yada), but a set distance doesn't make much sense either- Lonslo effectively removed Abel and replaced him with a new familiar, which while said familiar is also a neat idea, kinda loses the main reason i like the idea of Abel.

Agreed. Abel does desperately need tweaks but when you're modifying the item THAT MUCH you kinda lose the essence of the miniscule handful of interesting things it had going for it to begin with. I think something straight and to the point would just be: Make it copy/reflect the direction you're firing, but then give it tears like Fate's Reward -- copies your tears but at a lower damage and tear rate. Easy! (But keep the thing where it fires at you instead for Cain/T. Cain because that's some cool flavor.)

I don't fully like the idea for cursed eye but i think that the teleporting in the room part is good but only should be on bosses, i also pick it up when i can becuase i feel it has a similar Shotgun feeling that is better for me than mounstro lung becuase don't like arc tears

Honestly, how I'd buff it is to just implement a damage bonus based on the charge or maybe having it fire more tears. Like a full charge fires 5 tears that increase in damage (so that the 5th deals the most in the burst) or a full charge fires 8 tears at once.

A bit of a bastard concept i had while watching would be to up the curse factor of cursed eye, that if you get hit while charging you get a curse added to the floor. Maybe to buff it a tad, you could get a damage boost or an extra tear for every curse you have

I like Hutts' dataminer pitch, but I'd also like to include some changes of my own: 35% chance to open all doors in a room including secret rooms and key door (maybe scaled with luck) 20% chance to change item into a tm trainer item that will not affect future item slots (to offset the curse of blind removal buff) 20% chance for a metronome proc (fun) low 2.5% chance to tamper with deal chance (random chance to increase or decrease by a percentage)

Some of my picks: Taurus: It's pretty much a speed down the way it is, there are a few ways to buff it: Make it not give you a speed down, make it so that you can shoot while invincible, make it trigger once on rooms without enemies (to use machines with it) Either one or all of these would make it more usable GB Bug: Give it a decent chance to upgrade the pickups (ex: Red heart to half a soul heart, pill to card, etc)

I think Delirious could be way more interesting if it worked like Everything Jar or Larynx where it got more and more powerful as you kept charging it, perhaps spawning more powerful bosses from later chapters as you kept charging it. The main change I want to see for Lil Portal is it becoming similar to GB Bug where you tap the fire button twice to make it go forward.

Нет, просто неономи действительно очень хорошо разбирается в айзеке, и его замечают не только в ру сегменте. 10:41 that's not true, it can teleport you to special rooms, it just works like the golden teleporter. Clear out the floor first, make a portal, and you can get item rooms, shops, secret rooms or whatever really. I think the only exceptions are the devil deal and the error room

It's worse than Teleport 2.0 due to not taking you to the two most important rooms you can get from it, despite having a much higher cost of use. It also DOESN'T use the double-tap mechanics, which is inconsistent with the similar effect of reworked GB Bug. I think the idea was to give you a faster means of backtracking through floors and therefore meeting Rush'n'Hush timers, but the cost of use and uncontrollable nature are FAR too high. Definitely my top pick for a rework, I'm shocked it survived the other patches in its current state.

I'm just saying they work in similar ways Not every item is supposed to be great, the game would be terribly unbalanced then. I think lil portal provides plenty of value if you actually try to engage with it. Free secret rooms, free boss item every two floors, you can get out of a curse room for free too, maybe even an item room you'd have to otherwise skip because you ran out of keys. Could it be better? Of course, but it sure isn't high on the list of items I'd like to see buffed

@@orions2908 It eats consumables by accident, simply because they happen to spawn in its path when you (unwillingly) shoot it, for a benefit that is exceptionally unlikely to be equal to losing valuable keys/bombs/etc. It is one of the most actively detrimental and annoying items in the game and I REFUSE to take it for any reason other than Dead God/Infinity%.

my 2 cents about these sorry if it's a lot of text but i have a lot of playtime and thus a lot of thoughts on this lil' baggy: i don't think most of those ideas would help too much unfortunately. i definitely like the idea of everything that is not a card not getting replaced, after all starter deck doesn't do that either this made sense in the past, since runes were considered cards in AB+, but with the changes to blank card, and clear rune being a thing and whatnot, that is obviously no longer the case i also like the idea of new good pills getting added to make up for the reversed cards you're giving up on, however that still feels pretty random and kinda tacked on imo, what if instead lil' baggy just acted as a kinda tarot cloth for pills, increasing the chance for horse pills if unlocked, and maybe even also dropping a guaranteed one always, giving it a nice niche on new savefiles isaac's tears: auto-firing would definitely be a first step in the right direction, but that would effectively just make it a fully passive item, which tbf would be a conversion i wouldn't mind but only if it went fully passive, because if it still filled up my active slot, what would make it still worth hogging that slot after i find something just slightly better? which is pretty much any active item under the sun but what if instead they just increased the charge cap and made it kinda work like jar of flies or urn of souls? where you put one charge in for every tear fired, up to let's say 50, and the more you have when you fire it, the more tears it shoots out with higher damage multipliers, and at the highest numbers maybe even guaranteeing certain luck-based tear effects abel: he's cute, i don't see him needing to be changed tbh he's kind of a meme, the fourth brother to brother bobby, sister maggy and ghost baby, just harder to use, and i think him being shunned by most of the fandom just fits his role as abel, his brother stealing his shine and whatnot i don't think he should be getting many buffs without other familiars also getting similar ones, especially nothing that crazy though i'd love him to maybe have a chance of applying the backstabber effect. i think that fits him decently well both in story theming and the fact that he is mostly shooting from behind dataminer: no notes, i've agreed with this since he first said it there's some potential with it reflecting edmunds item from four souls, if they let you choose from a couple values to either in- or decrease, maybe like a choice between 3 random ones per floor or something, but that could get really broken real fast, and also really buggy if it went to the extent of tmtrainer. it would be fun, but it would still make it an item i would avoid on any run i even remotely hold dear cursed eye: if anything, the second idea is what i would go with because the first one would completely remove the item from its niche as a easy source of teleports yes we have enough cards and items, but this is one you can get the most uses out of yes i hate getting ripped out of bossrush, but i just as much love being able to steal from it at the cost of half a heart, without having to have my active or card slot filled up yes the fool is guaranteed on D2 and you can just get another card before you leave, still i think making it teleport you inside the room would take it from mildly annoying but sometimes useful to just annoying MAYBE if there was a small chance that the teleport would also negate the damage that triggered it in the first place black powder: i agree, i can't remember when i last intentionally used that item maybe on a blindfolded challenge but even then i'd rather just get a familiar from the devil deal instead lil' portal: pretty good idea, but it still doesn't get rid of the core issue of it ALWAYS UNINTENTIONALLY EATING UP YOUR ROOM REWARDS BECAUSE FOOLISH ME SHOT TOWARDS THE CENTER OF THE ROOM BECAUSE THE LAST ENEMY WAS THERE, HOW COULD I BE SO NAIVE? why is it not doubletap, just make it doubletap... linger bean: very good although pretty strong, but he knows that would definitely be warranted though with an accomodating quality increase thunder thighs: useful changes though i'd honestly hate to be rid of the rock stomping it's a mechanic that only 2 items have, and yes walking over mushrooms is dangerous, but i've trained my brain to avoid those for the better half of a decade now, infinite bombs is still worth it then again, it would make leo more unique i guess... not that effects overlapping between items was ever an issue tho i mean just look at the sagittarius cupids arrow situation really, the speed down is the only bad part about the item imo, but it's so important to the items theming that i couldn't imagine them getting rid of it MAYBE instead of it being a speed down, it just permanently reduces the maximum speed isaac can have to let's say 1.5, i think people would be less upset about picking something like that up, especially if it also got the contact damage delirious: hard agree i think it's laughable how the item pretends to play in the big leagues with it's 12 room charge bar and rarity, being exclusive to one specific elusive pool that completes the trio etc. when it is... well... like that... also did you know that bosses generated by delirious count towards the pool delirium can transform into during it's boss fight? even when used during the fight? i once used the item in the fight because i thought it would be funny it spawned a mama gurdy, which did about as much as you'd expect, and then just seconds after the boss turned into mama gurdy as well and i am pretty sure i did not encounter that boss during the run otherwise my own honorable mention: clicker why does it turn me into a random character whose unlocks i already have or don't want, and why does it take an item from me as payment i picked this character and these items for a reason yes there is niche usecases, but even in those you best case use clicker once and never again, and you'd still have to find it first maybe make it let you choose between either guaranteed clicking to the tainted version of your character and vice versa or a random character like before or alternatively make it take less charges to use so in the rare case i WANT to use it it doesn't take me the rest of the run to pull it off you know tbh, why not just make it free and infinite use, like potato peeler if i want to sacrifice half of my inventory within 10 seconds to fish for a specific character, let me do that i think that's pretty equivalent to sacrificing all of your hp for an arguably much stronger upside

Hutts idea is great, its a complete rework that makes the item useful and it fits the item theme in a really original way. I also LOVE the idea of passive active items, I also think its a cool idea that hasnt been exploited in the game and would add more difficult decissions for switching active items which is nice. Anyway, all ideas were actually great and would love to see them added in game. Awesome video dude😍💚

10:17 cool idea but the biggest issue is that the portal autofires so any time you get a room clear reward, or have to use directional keys for items like bag of crafting, you accidentally remove a whole line of pickups in front of you. Lil' portal should work like GB bug, where it fires only with a double tap. Also I hope that portal stays when entering a new floor, because you would never want to start a floor and check the error room without a tp card.

14:43 for it being a TWELVE ROOM CHARGE, i feel like it needs at least to be able to survive across rooms. Give it about 1/6 of Delirium's health, rather than immunity, while also slowly draining the HP so as to still preserve some sort of time limit.

Hello guys. I'm Neonomi. There is a lot of bad items in the game but all of them have some sort of use. Except that one. Thunder thighs make you slow for 1 HP and ability to destroy rocks. Not to mention sometimes stompy effect is bad on its own. I want to make it more interesting without ruining original concept. I present to you buffed version of sickness. 2 HP instead of 1 and use deal that's low. If you touch somebody, they take contact damage and fly away with flat damage on impact. This effect isn't very strong or unique, but I didn't want this item to be very strong either. I want this item get out of never pick up status to situationally status. Now it's just another contact damage item with its unique flavor. I'm sure you'll find it very good if you have polaroid or unicorn stump.

dunce cap def needs a buff of some sort. maybe change the pickup text to "Dumbfire away!" give your tears a weak homing effect, and give them a chance to gain a random worm effect in an attempt to wiggle their way towards an enemy that they get close to. it'd still be pretty bad, but at least make it so there's some small upside trying to outweigh the utter badness.

Isaac's Tears feels like it's only actually good with Tiny Planet, as you get a burst of tears that orbit you as opposed to needing to build them up. Also, for IBS I'd make it a 1-room Active Item, where you can see what poop comes next. Any time I've gotten it as a passive it's literally only hurt me.

Delirious could also function like larynx. The higher the charge the more powerful the boss it turns into is. 12 charges could have it always turn into hush, 11 could be blue baby/lamb, 10 could be isaac/satan, 9 could be it lives/mom's heart, etc

Pill bag, Data Miner (Guppy Eye effect on 1 room only), Black Powder, Linger Bean, Thunder Thighs are really good balanced buff ideas. Extra buffs from Pills, Guppy Eye effect on room, Double Tap with cooldown except for the button press with Linger Bean are really really good, and I liked it. Black Powder itself is a good item, but the idea is really interesting because now it doesn't do a flat DPS, you need to keep monsters in a circle to do one big Damage. And make a bigger circle to do more Damage. It's a bit unbalanced and needs to finalize the idea, but, the basement of thus idea is really good. Thunder Thighs buff idea is good too. But, knockback by dealing contact damage? Why? It's better to Knockback when Isaac farts, or when you have Belly Jelly. But knockback itself, nah, unbalanced thing. But more hp and ability to do contact damage is good. Aaaaand now I want to speak about buffs, that makes the game unbalanced. Like, Cursed Eye. Cursed Eye itself is a good item, yes, it teleports you when you take a damage, it doesn't synergy with items that have to charge like Brimstone. But. ITS NAMED CURSED EYE. NOT BLESSED EYE, and you need something like this item. I mean, yes, they need to little buff this thing, but not this way. Like Isaac's tears, it's not a good idea to buff it this way, but yes, they need to buff it. Just shooting 8 tears, what a boring shit, we have Tammy's head, that synergies with Brimstone and other items with own tear effects. Abel is good item itself. Don't touch it. Lil portal is good itself. Don't touch it. OK, Dellirius needs buff, but, idea that u show us is overpowered. I mean, ITS REALLY OVERPOWERED. I have a better idea. You can use Dellirius when you want, if it has charge. No matter how much. But the amount of charge is decides what Dellirium boss spawns. 1 - 3 charge - Duke of flies, poop, Larry. Bosses that have not much hp 4-6 - Monstro, Blot, Fatty And if you Etc. And when it charged to Maximum, you have a Dellirium in the room, like the real dellirium. It changes his forms, attacks the enemies, but, the difference between Real boss, he's not making Bullet hell. Just dealing contact damage. In this way, it's balanced and good overpowered item. Sry for bad English, I didn't use translator, cause it would distort all my thoughts. Thanks for the video

The only item I disagree with needing a rework is thunder thighs, I think it's completely fine for a quality 1 item, heck I'd even say it's pretty good for a quality 1 item, if I see it in my run I'll most likely take it and also I think stompy is a very fun effect which most of the times is much more useful than detrimental
