I Asked A TOTAL Stranger To Model For Me And This Was The Result (2020)

In this photoshoot I photograph a complete stranger with my new 24mm F1.4 lens. After a cancellation, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and ask strangers if they would like to have their photo taken. The photos with Asha were SO good that we ended up shooting for over an hour!

I know the feeling you get when you get a cancellation and all you wanna do is just take photos. He gets so excited because you don’t know what the setting will be or how good they’re going to turn out. But you know you just want to go take photos of people. Beautiful young lady there.

Hi there. As always, great images and superb luck with the bravery, she is fantastic! :) However when I downloaded the RAW's, I've noticed that the eyes are not sharp in any of the images. What might the problem be do you think? Could it be the Lightroom conversion process at my end maybe? I'm guessing your shutter speed is not to blame as it is way up there. It almost looks like a motion blur. Could it be an image stabilisation problem or maybe a lens issue? It happens irrespective of aperature (I initially thought it might be because you were at 1.4 but it seems to also do it at f2 and f2.2.)

How to be brave and confident as you? Shooting strangers is cool too because it's a spontageous moment and it going pretty fast. And I like that you mastering natural lights which I struggle a lot.

I love the the images and the model. But why on earth would you hand your gear to anyone? Especially a mirrorless camera? If it would be a D5 it can easily survive a drop as they are designed for durability but not the mirrorless ones.
