I would want that too but then I put myself in her shoes and losing a child is also not easy especially when they still had a lot of life left to live. I pray that god lets us live as long as we can and when the time comes we can go without regrets. I wish you both a long and happy life.

I understand but no parents should ever bury their children, no mother should ever bury their son. If you put yourself in her shoes, losing her own child after she gives everything in order for her son/daughter to live their long life ahead of them will be very devastating. I pray for the best health for your parents and for yourself, to live a long and happy life.

I really feel like I needed to see this. My father, who hasn’t been in my life, has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung and liver cancer. I have to see him for the first time since I was a child next month. This gave me some inspiration of what I should say to him, and that how i’m feeling is completely okay. Thank you.

As a chronically ill momma, this was hard yet so important to watch. My kids are still little. Only 10 and 8. But they see a momma who fight each and every day, not just for myself, but for them! So I can keep getting to hopefully wake up to get to see them grow another beautiful day! What a gift you have and thank you for sharing just 10 minutes of it with us. I tell my kids everyday how much they’re loved and adored and how they fill their momma hearts with nothing but love. Peace, calm, healing and love to all. ❤️

This was a very smart thing for them to do. They don't know how much longer they have left together, and when her mom is gone, she has videos she can look back on and show her kids one day. I wish you and your family all the best in this difficult time. I lost my stepfather (who was more of a father than my dad ever was) to 2 different types of brain cancer and I wish I had some videos of him to look back on. All I have are memories...

My mom passed away from metastatic breast cancer after 4years of remission. On a Wednesday her oncologist told us she needed radiation for spots on shoulder and on Friday the ER doctor told us her X-rays showed that her shoulder was broken and her pelvis was in pieces from the cancer eating it away. We put her on hospice that night and she passed the next day on New Year's Eve. I'm so glad my mom and I grew so close during her 4 yrs of remission. She passed away knowing without a doubt that I loved her. Never ignore mom's phone call, you're never too busy. Take it from me.

I always wish I had this conversation with my Mama, she passed away june 12th after a three year long battle against cancer. She was the strongest person I will ever know, she never talked about how she felt, because she wanted to be strong for us. I'm 21, she was 49 and I will miss her forever. But I know she is watching me and proud, that I'm becoming a nurse next year. I wanted to do this for her. No matter what, appreciate your Mamas, because you never know what happens. Stay safe children of the sun! And hug your Mama for me ❤

You just do, you wake up everyday with a noticeable hole in your heart and then one day it just hurt a little less, but then one day, you'll smell something or see someone and the hole for 10-20 minutes is ripped open again to the point you can barely breathe and then the cycle starts over again 🙄. My mom passed away in 2019 of Stomach and metastatic Brain Cancer

Wow, this hits so close to home. My mom passed away from breast cancer almost 3 years now. She was diagnosed with stage 3 and passed just a year later. Up until the very end, she told me that she doesn’t feel like she was dying. It was such a shock to me and to my family that we were sort of in denial until she died. I never had the chance to talk to my mom like this before she died and that’s one of the biggest regrets of my life. This totally made me cry and remember and miss her. I urge people to live their lives like every day is their last, and PLEASE, remind your loved ones every day how much they mean to you. You never know how long you have with them! ❤️

I had a terrible relationship with my mom and didn't think it could ever be fixed. Reason: Teenage Hormones, Anger issues on both sides and impatience. Fat forward to when I left for college, and I'm still there. Now, my relationship with my mom is the most beautiful thing ever. It is more than what I imagined and could have wished for. You can fix it. I did too. Moms love you and you need to tell them you love them too.

Thank you for sharing this. Hopefully people will realize that parents will not be around forever. I had a very open and frank talk with my dad when he was diagnosed with his terminal illness. It was a rare thing to do back then, but I wanted to hear how my dad felt about things and wanted him to hear how much I loved him. My dad has been gone for over 20 years. Having that talk with my dad helped prepare me for when it was time to talk with my mom before she died. Thank you and your mom for being honest and open. Jill

When I was 13/14 my mom was diagnosed with kidney cancer in March and passed away that October. I was too young to fully process what was happening. I wish I could have talked to her like this. I always wish she could have been physically around for important things, but I know she was and is there sometimes. I feel for your mom saying she doesn’t want people to feel sad for her but just know her. I’m so glad this popped up on my feed today. Thank you for sharing this with the world. Stay strong 🖤

One of my friends is living this right now. And another lived it with her father that sadly has now passed away. And it’s just heartbreaking. It’s really difficult for them to deal with their emotions regarding that situation. And also keep being the child of their parents and allow themselves to be their own person. I try my best to help them. Give them a safe place to share their feelings. But also somewhere we can just be young and carefree. Because not every parent deals with the disease the same way. Or sometimes they look very sick physically which is a constant reminder. If anyone has any idea on how I could be a better support for my friends. I’d love to hear them.

I wish we had more time with him, and just remember that these are really important times. In 2 months, he went from fine, to his grave. My mother has heart failure and other illnesses, although not fatal(Thankfully), is difficult to manage and has to take many medications. She has had the counselling given to cancer patients, as well as being tested at the oncology department when her white blood cells were high.. It's tough for everyone! I hope Chelsea's mom somehow exceeds the doctors expectations and continues to enjoy life. It's people like her that make me not complain about life-There are many dealing with worse!

You’re correct. They won’t (hopefully since we know damn well this is just so you can get pinned and not once acknowledged a woman talking to her dying mother)

How would getting pinned for this even be satisfying? It's cheap and sad.

I’m sorry but buzzfeed totally stole this from the midnight gospel on Netflix. Buzzfeed really lost its originality.

So you think the best thing to do is put it on KZbin that’s not called a heart to heart that’s called attention seeking

It's called helping people who have parents who are also dying and making sure to let people know they should talk to their parents. It's sharing the hard times so people know they're are not alone

@@artverse188 Thanks for your response. It was well thought out and articulate. So many people wait too long to have these kinds of discussions with people in their lives and it could help so much for each person. No matter what the reason for this video, I think that it could be very timely for viewers.

I wonder how the daughter doesn't cry once during this video, even after seeing her mom cry? A lack of empathy = narcissist or sociopath, or if born that way, psychopath.

Not everybody just cries. The daughter also has been going through this most her life. She's had a lot of reactions. Nobody has to cry to prove anything to you.

I mean she already had to struggle seeing her father slowly die and her mom already going through once. After a while you get through and decide to enjoy the good times and to not focus on the future but every present moment you have with them. And some people close to someone who is terminally sick go through grief before the person dies and by the time the person does they have let most of their emotions out. There's also monks and groups of enlightened people who don't experience grief because they have meditated long enough on the fact that nothing is forever. They don't expect people to be around forever, so when they go it's not so hard. A monk who's son died said he experienced no sadness because he didn't expect his son to be around forever and he was grateful for every moment he had with him, and his son was healthy and died in an accident. People are complicated beings with powerful hearts and minds.

Why on EARTH would you put this on YT. As someone who watched both her father and her grandmother turn into zombies and die of cancer at age 15... this content is repulsive.
