My mom’s doctor kept telling her there was nothing wrong with her and the sickness was in her head. When they finally realized it was cancer it was too late. You must all listen to your body. If you know something is not right persist in your quest for answers.

The only clue I had to my cancer was constant headaches. You're right, if I hadn't listened to my body, I would still not know I had cancer. (two years on and still fighting). Listening to your body is so important. NO PERSON KNOWS YOUR BODY BETTER THEN YOU!

I lost my mom to lung cancer in 2014. It will never be the same and I can't tell you it gets easier through time because it's not. You just learn to live with her absence. Some days will be easier other days it's like someone knocked the air out of you. The exact pain/emotion of the moment she passed away, you will feel those emotions all over again. I'm sorry hun.

You never expect something like this to happen to you, my dad suffered from cancer for almost 3 years and sadly past away 4 months ago leaving my mum with me (14) and my 11 year old brother. People always tell me it’ll get better with time but, to be brutally honest, it doesn’t. I’m 15 now and I’ve never felt more depressed and lonely I don’t really talk to people I know about it, sometimes to strangers and that’s about it. I miss him every day and I envy people who have that relationship. It’s so hard to accept he won’t get to give me away on my wedding day or be a part of anything like that. I’m not doing this for attention. It honestly helps to get it off my chest and hope it helps others who are going through similar things x

This made me so emotional, and I feel for every single one who goes through this. I've had similar experiences, but with my dad. He had colorectal cancer last year and he beated it. Though he passed away two months ago by an unknown cancer tumour that killed him fast. They had to shut down the life support due to his condition. To see him take his last breath was one of the most hardest thing to do. To realize that you will never be able to talk to them, hold their hand, hug them, be with them. I can't explain in words how much it hurts because words isn't enough. I'm glad that more people are trying to spread awareness of this perspective as well, and just about cancer in general. It is so important, and I'm so happy you decided to make this video because it made me (and a lot others) feel less alone about it. Thank you.

I was 18 when i was diagnosed too. And during that period my mom had been taking care of me how these while and I can see that she had lose weight due to me. She was always there when I was gg through treatments and in the hospital. I will be turning 23 this year and throughout those years nothing in my life nothing can top for what my mom had gave to me. Being an Asian, it is not common to straight out say I love you to her, but deep inside in my heart, I love you mom. :)

My grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and after two operations and chemo, she’s so strong and even though she’s lost her hair and one of her boobs, she still powers through it with the best attitude ever. I have been living in halls at university and have come back every weekend so I can visit my Grandma and make sure she is ok. It’s all about support in these tough times♥️♥️

I can only partly relate to this. I've never been close to my mom, I've always felt more sorry for her than "affectionate" towards her, and that's not really a healthy relationship. But my grandmother was very recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, and it's tough. It's really hard to see the person that you've always looked up to and the person that you always could turn to just fade away. My grandmother has always been the one I looked up to, and seeing her vulnerable like this... it just breaks me. But this video helped, just enough to give me the strength to keep going just a bit longer for her.

My mother has never been diagnosed with cancer, but Lupus. Then, she dislocated a back disk and couldn’t walk for at least 4 weeks. It’s not nearly as deadly as cancer, but I was so young it was terribly traumatizing to see her cry every day. I feel for anyone with a parent or close relative with a disease or disorder, and I want you to know it gets better. Even if they pass, know that they loved you and that they always will.

Hurts a lot that I lost my mum last year in Feb cause of cancer. Hurts that I wont get to share the rest of my life with her having only been 20 when it happened. Watching this breaks my heart. Treasure your mums. You never know when it might be her time to leave.

Cancer gave me one very valuable gift...it was to remind me to tell the people in your life how much you love them, every time you can, and as strongly as you can, for as long as you can. None of us know how much more time we'll have with the people we love. Leave nothing kind unsaid or undone. 💞

My mom was diagnosed with lymphoma last week. I'm devastated. She is staying with me now but she thinks that she will be able to return to her apartment. I have to seek deep down my soul to gain the strength I will need to care for her. 🙏🏻❤️

As a mother of five children (aged between 20 and 2), my youngest was 2 months old when we found out I had cancer. This video was hard to watch, but I really wanted to hear this story from the child's point of view. I'm still fighting, and my children are all by my side and I'm glad I managed to get through this to hear what the daughters had to say regarding their mums. Thank you for this video.

I lost my grandfather due to cancer and I was heartbroken I cried for days I couldn't control myself I would fight the urge to cry in class I didn't want to eat and do anything I just wanted to lock myself in my room and cry all day and now 4 years later I still cry about him and I miss him, but I know that he would want us to be happy and would worry if he saw us crying

My mom has stage 4 breast cancer now. I know that she is battling a lot of things in her life as well as knowing that her marriage is not okay as well. She is fighting a lot right now. I hate myself for not being able to do anything other than just supporting her. I love her so much and I hate myself for studying so far away from my mom. She had her first chemo and everything is better. I pray for her health much more than anything I wanted in my life. She will be cancer free, I know she will.
