There's several reasons that I can name as to why his videos draw people in. He is young, vibrant, good looking, in shape, has nice thick dark hair, clear smooth skin, white teeth, dresses nice, speaks well, has an unusual accent, is pleasant, is passionate about what he is doing, And..he presents the foods he is eating well, gets real excited about EVERY FOOD he tries, he can eat a lot and never gain weight, and just always has an upbeat, positive attitude. So..does that sum it up somewhat?

the reason they do that is so that so get SMALL AMOUNTS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR FOOD GETTING MIXED OR SEPARATED that way if you don’t like the food then only SMALL AMOUNT GETS WASTED THE PLATE IS DIVIDED BY 6 small sections so that if you don’t like then only small amount will be trash........DO YOU GET IT?????????? i worked at a buffet before that how i know

Loco moco is actually a Hawaiian food. It is popular in Japan partly because Japanese tourist love going to Hawaii for some reason.

Really interesting to see that mini Loco Moco! It's a dish from Hawaii, usually rice with a hamburger patty and an over-easy egg all covered in brown gravy. Iirc it originated from what people had/could afford post- colonization by the U.S. though I wouldn't be surprised if there was some Japanese influence given the geography, interesting to see a Japanese take on it
