If you want to see the entire game/hack. The professional that trained her did a WR run after he had trained her. It's on his alternate account (Ryu), and he clocked in at around 15 minutes. (The entire video is a few minutes longer) He also did his own react video on his main channel (ryukahr). He gives some insight and a lot of praise. Edit: (I switched them around... So... Ryu has the react, Ryukahr has the wr run... it's one of the new ones starting with "Jaiden...")

It's not that it's unfair, it's adversarial. The game is there to fuck with you. If there's a jump that looks too easy, expect a kaizo block. But there's also always an intended way to handle everything. Kaizo hacks make use of every detail of the game, along with completely custom features in some. The idea is for the player to learn how the game intends you to play. The difference is the pacing the game expects. In soulslikes, even densely populated areas full of enemies are no danger once the enemies are gone. In kaizo hacks the environment is dangerous, and enemies are often only placed in order to allow the player to advance through the level, or to add a hazard (and some enemies like thwomps can serve more than one purpose at the same time). A well constructed kaizo level does a good job of communicating to the player what trick is expected through the level design. This is similar to the idea of telegraphing attacks in soulslikes, for example.

Some levels will use message blocks to explain special mechanics or differences from normal Mario mechanics, but you are always expected to be very familiar with regular Mario mechanics. I'd compare it with something like how heavily modded Minecraft can be much more complex and build off of the base game's mechanics while drastically changing things in the process. Dropping someone unfamiliar with Minecraft into a modpack full of all sorts of additional stuff would be absolutely overwhelming for most people.

If you're interested in romh*cks there are a lot that aren't any much harder than classic smw, they just introduce new mechanics and cool things. Kaizo is the most popular genre of romh*cks, but there are other great styles in there Also had to censor that word because KZbin deleted my comment for using it. Getting kinda insane ATM with the shadow moderation limits.
