Reminded me of me canceling on a few Uber drivers when they couldn't find me. I can't recognize cars to save my life and they may have passed me so I was so anxious I just canceled then waited before getting another one 😅

i was staying at my bf's house for a while and when i came back from school, no one was answering so i went around the house, climbed into the high window into the room which basically was like an attic cause it had so much stuff inside while trying not to fall and die...His father was in the house but just didn't hear me knocking on the door for some reason.

Back in the 80s when I was a wee one, my dad used to go jogging on this little side road about fifteen minutes driving from our old house. Well, one day, his keys fell out of his 1980s short shorts (which were honestly probably from the 70s, knowing my dad). He’d jogged pretty much the whole ten mile length of this road and didn’t realize til he got back to his car. So he turned around to jog back and try to spot them. Then it started to thunderstorm. Now, there are no houses on this road. It’s just an access lane to the dam, but there are little side roads off of it that lead to actual neighborhoods. But around this road itself there was just a lot of brush and tall grass. Dad decided he should get into the ditch by the road so he could avoid the lightning. He then heard a car coming and he leapt out of the overgrown ditch in the middle of a storm with his own car several miles back and began screaming and waving his arms. He was surprised when the passing car did not stop and rescue him, but sped away furiously.😂😂😂😂 Finally, he just decided to jog back to our neighborhood which google maps says it about another 8 miles (I just checked) and along a highway. When he finally got to our house, we weren’t home and he suddenly remembered… no keys. At this point he as exhausted, so he grabbed a ladder from the shed, propped it up against the house and climbed up to the second story where he often kept a window open because it was his reading room and he’d occasionally smoke a cigar. The window wasn’t open, but it WAS unlocked. He came out of the house and put the ladder away, went in to clean up and waited for us. When we got home, my mom remarked that it was weird my dad wasn’t home yet since his car was gone. We went inside and dad appeared from the next room trying to tell us what happened. But he appeared so suddenly due to the layout of the house that he terrified my mother who pushed me and my little brother back outside while she started screaming. Once everything was explained, we took Dad to get his car with his spare key and called it a day. I don’t think he ever found the keys he lost and I hope they got the locks changed. Anyway, that’s my favorite locked out story and I wanted to share it. (Side note: Dad is almost 80 and still jogging)

My friend and I had to break into their house a couple times when their mom locked the door and they didn't have their keys. They just boosted me into the unlocked window. I was worried one of their neighbors would call the cops but they said the neighbors would recognize them. Also one time an Uber dropped us off a couple blocks from the parking garage we were aiming for (there was a con going on and for some reason they thought we were just gonna wander around the con with all our luggage, I guess?) and we had to lug our suitcases and props to where we were supposed to be dropped off cause we were too anxious to correct the driver.

I had to break into my own house once. I remembered my bedroom window was unlocked so I had to have my dad give me a boost to reach it and I had to lift the screen and pry the window open and crawl in onto my desk lol

using a GPS to get to my house, it takes you right past my house, around a turn and up a small dirt path that circles back around to my house

Trying to get home from work, I had a Lyft driver slow roll passed me as he canceled. Went from waiting 5 minutes to 17 minutes.🙃
