Just in case it wasn't clear, this was not my first nuzlocke or my first randomizer. I've spent so much time trying to come up with new creative ideas that somewhere along the way I just forgot that I had skipped right over doing a regular random nuzlocke playthrough. On this channel you can find other similar videos, but all have a bigger twist attached like Pokemon randomly evolving every level. It was really cool to turn back the clock a bit and just do something I should have done so many years ago!

This video was a huge disappointment because of this. I think it’s sad that people’s attention spans are so short that every second has to be “exciting”. I like the calm pacing a lot and this feels like a big mess.

@@JT-295 To each their own I guess. As someone with limited time to spend on KZbin there's no way I'd ever start to watch a series of a single playthrough that lasted so many episodes. Has nothing to do with attention span but keeping a viewer engaged. If everything is spread out then the majority of viewers will have dropped of by the time the series reaches the end

It's extremely fitting to have Skarmory take out Cynthia's last Pokémon, because Skarmory is one of the only Pokémon to resist all of her Garchomp's moves in this game. That Carvanha was legit a better final opponent here.

I understand that Cynthia is the hardest champion to beat and I fully agree with that, and might be even harder randomized, but I feel like if you play enough competitive Pokémon it’s kind of a push over because during my first nuzlocke I only lost one Pokémon to her (and it was the only Pokémon I lost lol).

Actually flaffy is a better starter. Because it evolves at 30 instead of what like 48 or 50 so you get a full evo WAY sooner so its def better for a playthru. You also dont know what else youll get so it makes it easier too

Gabites death, with the flashback to the promise that you would protect him.. the stunned silence as Skarmory holds on for dear life against the Carvahna, only to triumph by sheer force of will. Interestingly, the regular version of this game's Cynthia I ended up accidentally cheesing the hell out of. Once she sends out Milotic, I sent out Dry Skin Toxicroak and only then remembered it's ability. So while it was buffing Toxicroak with it's water attacks or using a non stab non super effective ice beam I healed the rest of my team from the first few mons lmao. Now idk if I'll ever play Sinnoh again without dry skin Toxicroak
