Hey man, I know that you guys aren't exactly like, super maximum pro gamers in DBFZ, but I'm pretty much an eternal rookie, so when I watch you and SeeReax and DotoDoyo play together, you guys are always definitely way ahead of me, so I do look up to you guys a lot and wish I could pull off the combos that you guys do. I don't get to play as often as I'd like, so I don't learn as well as a lot of other people do, and I tend to try to use Arcade to "warm up" when I start playing. The unfortunate part is sometimes I really struggle against the AI because I'm pumping it up as hard as it can go because I know AIs are bad, but then they tend to spank me and that leaves me feeling really, legitimately depressed, because if I can't beat a fucking AI that's almost literally just mashing random stuff, there's no way I could beat a human being who knows exactly what they're doing. I didn't actually know the later stage Arcade AIs get such crazy damage boosts until you said it and showed off how much damage a raw level 3 does to you, and how much they could mercilessly punish even your slightest mistakes. Now I understand why I often struggle against they AI - they punish mistakes, and I make a lot more mistakes because of my skill level. You're pretty good, but you still made some mistakes here and there which you called out, and some of them definitely got you 75% damage level 3'd, but you still did really well. That's pretty encouraging. I honestly thought all this time that I was struggling with Arcade solely because I'm bad, end of statement, but now I know I'm struggling with Arcade because the AI is built to punish your mistakes, and I just make a lot of those because I'm not as well trained as you guys are. I don't really know what I'm going for here. I just know that a few weeks ago I did so poorly in an Arcade run just desperately trying to get a little zeni to afford something at the store that I just shut the game off in a terrible miserable funk and couldn't get over how awful I was. It was extremely discouraging. This video has picked me right back up, because it makes me realize it's not as bad as I thought it was. I just need to try to make less mistakes. I don't need to be flashy and TOD them, I just need to understand fundamentals and make less mistakes. I just need to figure out how to do that. Thanks, Rhymestyle.
