That's not a bad time at all. The SF obstacle course is actually harder for the bigger and taller guys. I remember some of the bigger guys already being gassed halfway through and had to finish it based on sheer determination. Watching this video brings back so many memories. I can still remember how absolutely spent I was by the last five or so obstacles back in I believe in 2003. Definitely much easier to attempt in your 20s and 30s.
@alyssawhite36516 ай бұрын
Some things might be harder for bigger guys but try being 5ft and do the ladder haha
@MisterNi6 ай бұрын
@@alyssawhite3651 I don't know what the requirements are nowadays but when I was in the Army there were minimum height and weight requirements to even be considered for SFAS. That was never a problem for me aside from not being like a 6'2"+ guy that the Army likes to select to try out for Army SF but I do have a friend who was Army SF who is like 5'4" and remember him having to receive a special exemption to even attend. He made it though and although we didn't run missions together he did have a reputation for being a pretty mean dude.

If you are tall and weight lift (regardless if you are no longer in your early 20's) you better be practicing these specific courses ahead of time or you will likely have no chance. I've done shorter courses with some of the same or similar obstacles in the army and I remember using my neck to climb the weaver I was so smoked.

Hell yeah brother! Ik you didn't do as well as you were hoping but think about it. In the year since you last did this you dealt with a super rough breakup and the mental toll that takes is very understated. You've ran a freaking marathon as well. So after all of that you still improved your time by 7 freaking minutes on probably the toughest obstacle course on the planet! Don't let the fact you didn't hit your goal take away from your significant accomplishment you pulled of in spite of everything! Good sh!t man! 💪

You did a great job. Being first out of the box is tough. When you’re middle of the pack there’s a bottleneck when candidates or offered to redo obstacles. Most try several times until told to move on. The yellow areas got you as well as completing and starting the obstacle from start to finish. Hopefully they clearly demonstrated each obstacle. If they did, even though it’s a lot to take in, there’s no reason to have a foul. You can’t forget details just because you’re smoked. The rope climbs on this course are ridiculous. One after another. Again, great job.
