If I was 21 points behind my biggest rivals I’d actually be embarrassed to celebrate the way Hibs did only at 0,1 after only 30 minutes. Don’t get me wrong I’d be celebrating but not actually acting like it’s a one off game like a cup final. Still couldn’t beat the Hearts team who played awful. The behaviour looked shocking from all the coked up Ned’s in the Hibs end it is getting ridiculous now these boys who can’t handle a line & a pint. 🍺

Well I live in England and would prefer to watch this than Chelsea vs Arsenal or whatever! More passionate fans here. I used to go to a night out in Edinburgh called PURE. It was up there with the most ‘mental’ atmospheres I ever encountered and I suspect was indicative of the sheer fervour of the Edinburgh pubic!

Very much an 'underated 'Derby' To be fair both could have done with looking at a bigger capacity when they both re-developed around the time of the millenium as THIS FIXTURE would sell-out a 25-30 thousand capacity stadium.Unfortunately Tynecastle & Easter Road are suffocated by Tenements which was probably the reason why the late Wallace Mercer (loved by some ..hated by others) had visions of a 'one edinburgh club' which im glad to say didnt come to 'fruition'.Both clubs have 'great support' & deserve more success but are constantly 'overshadowed' by the 'Ugly Sisters from across the M8.

No disrespect to the Old Firm, but the Edinburgh derby goes back way further. Heart of Midlothian formed in 1874, and Hibernian formed in 1875, and they played each other that year. The game ended in violence as the Hibernian fans chased the Hearts captain and founder Tom Purdie. Hearts were from the Canongate area, and Hibs from the Cowgate area, they formed the team exclusively for Irish Catholics, the first sectarian football club in Scotland. Celtic were formed in 1888 by Hibernian fans from Glasgow who wanted a team closer to home. Rangers had been formed in 1872, but the rivalry with Celtic didn't even start for a while, with the two clubs being fairly friendly, and they became known as 'the old firm' because they planned draws to get more money for rematches. Anyway for celtic fans who say hearts are just 'huns withoot the busfare' it's ironic because celtic fans are literally Hibernian fans who didn't want to travel all the way to Edinburgh.
