So many of us came to your channel for the catfishing video.. but I love that you're doing more than just that.. it's awesome.. guys like Luke and yourself have got me wanting to go target carp specifically with some Jello pack baits. Side. Go to Wally world and pick you up a zebco dock demon... I landed about a 5-10lb carp ion one with a dock demon and no working drag... Drag was locked on full Resistance.. funnest fight I've every had fishing .

We used whole kernel feed corn as chum. You can get a 50lb bag for reasonable price, subjectively. Boiling the corn for a little while will make it swell and you can stick with the fake corn hair rig.

Marshmallows are sugar. They melt away when they get wet. Try dough balls made from good ole Wheaties. The natural sugars help the dough bring in carp, as will vanilla.

Justin idk if it's legal to do this or not but I've heard that you can take a block of ivory soap and put a small hole in it and put it on the hook and you can catch fish from it because it'll make its own scent off of it as it sits in the water too now myself have never tried it but I've had a few people to tell me that now
@jaelenculp36632 жыл бұрын
Hey Justin, I'm at the beach catching fish like croaker, Whiting, pinfish, and pompano. Do you think it would be ok to use them for catfish bait? Or will it make them sick because of them being in a different type of water?
@tylerlucht65592 жыл бұрын
You can use saltwater fish for catfish bait and they work pretty good. I use mullet sometimes but that being said it’s always better to use their natural forage. I would go for whatever bait fish the catfish already have access to.
@tylerlucht65592 жыл бұрын
But you also want to make sure it is legal wherever you are
@jaelenculp36632 жыл бұрын
I typically use bluegill, bass, crappie, or any other small baitfish. I was just wondering though because I would like to see if it would work. Thanks for the response!
@KayakCatfish2 жыл бұрын
I’m sure you will probably catch some cats with it. Just make sure it’s legal to use. Some states have laws as to what can and can’t be used or bait.

Hey if you want a meet carp experience..creat a competitive feeding environment...meaning feed the same spot daily for a month....don't used bags...just rang feed prepped feed corn and boilies...after a while usually the smaller carp will get pushed out by larger more territorial carp...buy the end of that month you could experience some 30 pound pluse carp
@KayakCatfish2 жыл бұрын
Sounds interesting. I may try that at some point. It will be difficult for me to feed the same spot daily since I fish so many different places though.

Hey Justin I was wondering with your carp bait. Do you mix the Jell-O with water and then mix it in the breadcrumbs. And do you use the corn juice also?
