Love these fishing for whatever bites videos in these backwater creeks! The best thing about them is you never know what's going to be on the end of the line. I've caught catfish and carp on cheese wieners, but I never would have thought to use a cherry tomato lol!

We used half a Wiener per Hook on the Neches River about a Mile above the Neches River Bridge in Beaumont Texas. We had one 25 Hook Trotline out. We ran it once in the Morning and once in the Evening for nine days and caught 7 (least) to 16 (most) One Pound to Eight Pound Blue and Channel Catfish. There's a lot of nice big Blues and Ops if you want to use live and cut Bait? My thoughts were why throw a Cast Net when 2 packs of Wieners were a Dollar and the smaller Catfish Eat better.

These videos are awesome. Hoping to sell this truck and get a solid kayak to try myself. Absolutely NO luck bank fishing. I’ve been to tons of places. I’ve been using cut shad and live sunfish. I put out 2 lines for the time being to offer variety in bait. Absolutely no catches and the only bites were turtles. I’m thinking if I can reach the deep deep(been fishing 35’ at most, all I can reach from the bank here) my luck will change. Anyway man sorry for rambling, great content, appreciate the advice as well throughout all of the videos. My 6 year old daughter begs to watch these videos everyday. We love it, good luck out there, stay safe.

When I was a kid , growing up in Eastern Colorado, we tossed any Carp we caught out of the water and let the Coyotes and Coons eat them.. While attending College in Eastern Nebraska, a friend of mine took me to a place called Joe Tess's in Omaha. They specialized in fried fish. They didn't offer Trout so I opted for the same thing my buddy had. It was delicious! When I asked what kind of fish, I was told it was CARP. It made a believer out of me.

Great video...one word for the mosquitoes in places like that... Thermacell ...it works! While a catfish on a cherry tomato is a new one to me, in the late summer here in south Alabama one of the best places to fish for catfish is under an overhanging wild grape vine when it's dropping grapes...we catch a lot of catfish there, and they're FULL of grapes! Stay safe!
