Either story 4 is fake, or the writer didn't do their research and bought rumors that weren't true. The "God the Mother" stuff was a rumor going around about door to door knockers that were linked to human trafficking and was debunked multiple times as the stories had major inconsistencies.

Holy sh!t. Don’t mean to double comment but I’ve met these sex traffickers face to face because the same scheme happened to me!! The specific detail of the mother of god is what reminded me. Jeez. I gave them my number cause I really had to leave to my doc appt and they wouldn’t stop bothering me. I gave it cause I knew I would block it and just leave it be. But sh!t... that’s insane. They really are so pushy. I was pregnant at the time and a good melon infront of me yet they still wouldn’t let up when I told them I was on my way to an appointment 3 TIMES.

Pretty sure I encountered the God the Mother folks at a Target once...I was wandering around the makeup by myself (per the usual) and they approached me with a similar schtick they did to the writer of the story. I kept on trying to tell them thanks, but no thanks, but still being polite. Finally my mom came over and was able to get me away from them. My mom is a big Karen type of woman, who has no problem telling people to F off, which she essentially did. I was initially kinda like “Thanks but you were kinda rude” but now I gotta text her and thank her for being her brash self 😅

The anime con story reminds me of the time a creep kept following my friend and clipping pictures of her simply because she was "beautiful" to him. We weren't crazy anime fans at the time, but volunteered at the con because it was something to do. This dirtbag literally followed us up until her parents showed up to pick her up. There really are freaks at the con.

The "God the mother" story really scared me, because (also in Canada) I had the same experience in early 2019. I was coming home from some errands on a snowy day in early January, and got off my bus at the terminal closest to my apartment building, right across from a mall. As I started to head in the direction of home, I heard someone shout "excuse me" and I turned around expecting someone to trying to bum bus change or maybe tell me I had dropped something. But it was three women, I would guess my same age in their early 20's. They asked me the same kind of questions the author of the story describes, about if I believed in God or went to church. But something I noticed, and didn't like, is that as I had been talking to them they had kind of got me boxed in, and the two girls on either side of me were standing uncomfortably close. This gave me really bad vibes. That was when the girl in front of me asked me if I knew about God the mother, and if I knew that parts of the scripture actually give clarity to God being a woman. Something about how she was talking now just gave me awful vibes, and she asked if I would go to one of their meetings. It was snowing pretty hard at that point, so I just said I wasn't interested and needed to get home before the storm got any worse. I had to back all the way up to get clear of them because they were so close to me on every side, invading my personal space. Even with the awful weather, I made record time getting back to my place from that terminal. I always wondered if I would see them there again, but never did.

I'm curious what their ethnicity was that were talking to you. There's a false korean church that's lead by a woman who calls herself the "god the mother" and a "ministry" in Toronto, Canada called "world mission society church" that believes in "mother god". They say they're wrongly labeled a cult but is heresy in using that. God always only reveals himself as Him not as female. These females that are going around in public places tapping people possibly just use it as a ploy since the term itself is obscure to legitimate names you hear connected to anything church related.

I think the part that you're missing is that someone who's breaking into a home may encounter some _formidable_ resistance by an innocent pupper; Puppers are known for doing their best to guard their humans and their homes. That's why they'd kill the dog. It is cold, but it's not really uncalled for. Depends on the pupper, though, of course. If the dog is small enough, it won't cause enough damage to be of any concern. However they might still kill it because the racket it would make would call attention to the situation. TLDR; All doggos is guard doggos***. ***Unless the person knows the doggo and the doggo is friendly toward them. But even then, doggo might still call bullshit when the actual situation goes down, and/or attack their accomplice(s).

ebron The God the Mother story teller is actually erroneous in some points. There is a huge religious organization, very legitimate, that preaches about the Female image of God or God the Mother. It’s Internationally recognized and they have very good rapport. Wherever their church isn’t still big enough or recognized enough, they might just seem sketchy since there might not be a huge beautiful building set up yet. Also members might generally seem a bit awkward while preaching because... it mustn’t be very difficult to invite a total stranger somewhere! But anyway overall they really mean well and are really really nice. Many times they get totally misunderstood but they really just want to study the Bible and do Community service. The organization is even recognized by the United Nations. They’re a pretty big deal but hard to tell since there’s so much more evil than good in this world sometimes.

How about don't tell someone to look you up if you don't want them to look you up. This is the problem with women like her they say things they don't mean and then are mad when men take them serious...now was that guy a creeper he sure was but the whole thing would have been avoided had she not have said things she didn't mean never should have told him to get your number from friends or to look you up if you didn't want that. Just because what he did was psycho doesn't mean she didn't mislead him. Misleading a psycho is still misleading and she probably does it with normal guys as well. Just in this case her misleading bs lead her to have to deal with a crazy person.

Anyone who wants to read this comment let me tell you a little about South Africa since I lived there my whole life up until 2 months ago (: my entire family just moved to Europe due to the crime in SA. It’s become a common joke that everyone who can leave SA is leaving. The author of the first story is not exaggerating at all when they said home invasions in South Africa are expected to involve murder, torture, and rape. They are also very common, so my family and I used to go to bed every night worrying about a home invasion. I used to stay up until 5am most days of lockdown just listening to the house to make sure we were safe. There is such an abundance of unnecessary violence, like the most disgusting, extreme violence you can imagine. I wish there was research on what is causing the violence to be so extreme and common. I am taking a guess that there are some strange beliefs... there is a major lack of education, lots of misogyny, and a common belief is witch doctors requiring body parts from children or humans that are still alive. There was a new case with a child just 2 days ago I think. I can only imagine from the mix of a lack of education, misogyny, and violent witch doctor beliefs that more violent and strange beliefs can happen. Also there’s extreme poverty which leads to crime, which leads to people invoked in crime becoming desensitized and more violent. There’s so many crime stories I’ve experienced and that my friends and family have experienced. It’s a common thing to talk to a random person in South Africa about a crime experience and them to say “oh yeah that happened to me the other day”. A very scary place. So pleasantly strange to now live in Europe and smile at the good police and military who are everywhere you go (:

Unfortunately I’ve heard most of these before, but the God the Mother church is not a trafficking ring. It is a real religion and though one may not agree with it, I feel like the overreaction to it and the rumours of kidnapping are possibly putting the girls who act as their missionaries at risk.

Never heard "look me up" used to mean anything other than "look me up"...especially since any creep can literally look up all your info, now. But even if I gave the person a pass on using that expression...they then invited wacko jacko to their fking house to spend the bloody night! So I'm beginning to think that maybe that person DID give off mixed signals to a psychopath and the psycho was actually the normal bloody person in this story. BC ?! ?! HELLO! Creeper travels across country to see you after a two hour basic convo and you say, "please come stay with me in the dark and watch me sleep so you can have me at my most vulnerable time". unreal

It's not human trafficking though as far as I'm aware. I'm pretty sure it's actually cult recruitment, as God the Mother is associated with the World Mission Society Church of God.

Ok so the god the mother one freaked me out. I knew she was going to say god the mother before she said it cause I've met people from that cult before. I don't know if there is some human trafficking sect that uses the god the mother schpiel or what. The ones that came to my actual house several times were groupings of two at a time. One was the mentor and the other the mentee. The mentee would do the speech and the mentor would watch and help along. Now I'm a Christian so I know my Bible and am well versed in scripture. Basically I frustrated every group because I always had a counter verse or counter understanding of what they were trying to say or push on me. The last group that ever came was an Hispanic woman and a Korean woman. They wanted to come in, I'm like, no. So they did their schpiel and I did all my counter arguments, respectfully of course but not budging a bit. I'm a mom and my children are part Korean. The Korean lady looked at my daughter who is obviously Asian. I felt very uncomfortable with her looking at my daughter. At the time I had no thoughts that they wanted to traffic her and still don't but I don't like anyone eyeballing my kids in any kind of, oh wow or approving kind of way. They decided to back off when I could tell that the mentee lady was becoming confused with her beliefs being countered. Since then they have never come back. The thing that still creeps me out though, their church is right down the street. From what I know the god the mother ppl are derived from the "Moonies," cult. Those ppl believe that Christ is a Korean guy who died some time ago and god the mother is that guy's wife who I believe is still alive.
