Yea I agree I already uninstalled it, I’ve tried for 5 hours straight, tried every build I could nothing worked, this boss is really cheap, so many attacks he does that u can’t avoid that do a cutscene and u lose half your health. The camera can really get you too. No matter how much defense you stack it doesn’t help. Lots of rng as well.

I used the water Armour you get after chapter 1. I upgraded it to legendary statues with the yin tiger so its almost on par with the Wukong Armour which has only an extra 4% more defence with the water armour, i always get 50% of my health back when i am on critical health unlimited. the last boss doest spam attacks on you so that gives me time to run around till health 50% again before attacking 😂

Let's gooo! great hearing this. It's a powerful build that also one of its advantages is that you focus on very specific mechanics, so it's easier to master and you get insane damage timing your heavy attacks. Fights are shorter as well, so less time for mistakes.

Not sure why I see so much hate about this boss in particular. As far as the lineup is concerned, he’s one of the most fair bosses in the game. A lot of the other bosses are infuriatingly unfair, but I’ve had a lot of fun with this one.

i don't have the full pilgrim set. I didn't know it was that much better after upgraded. I only have the head piece and the armor. I've been trying to finish him but can't pass the last fight of second phase. Some area of the arena if you get too closed in the corner, you got stuck and can't get out. I'm just getting too frustrated. He was too powerful, almost can't hit him that many times close range.

@@pontus.anderssonI came very close to get him to almost kill him but i was down to last bit of health and I got hit at the same time I was hitting him close range. You are right, you need to be patient n just get perfect dodge and use heavy hits. I didn’t seem to get the ring of fire down correctly to reap it benefits. It seems like he keeps getting through w his aggressive attacks I can stay in the ring long enough. I’ll give it another go. Yeah I’ve been grinding it for 8-10 hours. Tough fight but I need to do it. Thanks for the tips.

No worries, I defeated him around 20 times so far with stealing included. That's not what makes the difference, the build still works great for me, otherwise I would have changed to something else. As long as it's consistent with good results (wins) I share it.

@@WhoIsJ0hnny92 I know I just didn't want you to be discouraged by that specific move of the boss. It took me time to feel comfortable fighting him. There is RNG in the fight of course, sometimes in your favor a bit sometimes the other way around. I wish you good luck with the fight!

@@IlLAD3LPH1A215 nah that's overgeneralization, what I mean is that not two fights are the same and it can happen based on your positioning, attack timing etc that you get certain behavior from the boss more frequently than others. I did notice that sometimes if I stand in front of the boss and do nothing, it will take sometime compared to other times if the boss attack me or not, sometimes it takes longer sometimes less. I guess there is some timing RNG involved there.

Level 300,got all weapons, armours, curios, etc but I am in ng+2. He has fucking ton of hp, I don't inflict a lot of damage. I had to run like a noob in phase 1 to do charged attacks only. Phase 2,depleted gourd, mana and I am dead. I died more than 10 times, now I hate the game. He is harder than erlang. Erlang with plantain fan, rock transformation, a few dodges, potions, it's over. NG + one was too easy, ng+2 a nightmare.

no clue if they changed the AI but this strat doesn't work for shit in phase 2. Everytime he either throws his staff at me or stands on his pole which has infinite range to hit me while charging

It's doable but indeed he is more aggressive in phase 2, and he leaves less open windows to attack, which it's like that for any build. The best time is after he exhausts his set of attacks. You can also interrupt many of his attacks, so don't build on 3-4 focus points, if he starts doing the attack animation, close in with less focu points to interrupt and damage and also you can continue with a few light attacks, rinse and repeat.

It's subjective of course but it my perspective it's not too hard, jut need a good build an a bit of practice. I struggled against him at the first times for sure, now I can finish him every time (in base game). If I had the item I had (I missed so many), it would have been much easier for me the first time. So those who are struggling, I do recommend getting some items to create powerful builds to make the second phrase easier in general.

@@kiruuchiha9994 Also, be patience tapping to dodge, I panicked a lot at first, but now it's more relaxing, I know when to click most of the time to avoid. The more I play, the easier it gets and more I feel there is time for me to pay attention to the details in the fight. It's all experience, but because the attacks are telegraphed so well (animation wise) even if I don't put my mind into it, I get used to it and become better each time.

This fight is lame and boring i just want to be done with this turkey of a game. been runningin circles for 2 days the boss just turns off damage at the end and starts spamming unblockable combos, its beyond tedium to have to min/max every stat in the game and you still have to sweat like a pig running in circles screw it.

This game is just poorly made. Either bosses are way too easy or they will one tap you with a 15 attack spamm combo. Mid game and mid boss design. Only carried by graphics lmao. But 15fps on console
