Hello, Viking Samurai. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm so tired of humans disrespecting Bruce Lee. All of a sudden, everyone has beaten him, everyone can beat him. Even though I respect the man you're interviewing, this is where I draw the line. All these legendary Martial Artists like - Bolo Yueng, Jim Kelly, Joe Lewis (Heavyweight Kickboxing champion), Chuck Norris and Jackie Chan, all said the same thing. Bruce was untouchable, his speed unmatched, combined with freakish strength, and Martial Arts techniques that flowed, too fast for the eyes to see. They watched Bruce defeat black belts with ease. On top of that, Jackie Chan said, when he did Enter the Dragon with Bruce, as one of the guys he beat up on the island, that Bruce hurt him, when Bruce wasn't even moving his fastest, wasn't even using alot of strength. Like wow, this guy can move, but he considers it a highlight of his life, to have been a part of the most important Martial Arts film ever made, the most profitable one too. Saying, "Oh, I beat Bruce Lee. All these other guys can beat him too." That's the head shaking moment and walk away. You don't have to disrespect someone else, in order to elevate yourself. Please, don't be like Michael Jai White. Thanks, for the video, Viking Samurai, but as I've mentioned, this is getting old. TERRANCE OUT

I'm sorry you should probably rewatch some of his fight scenes again or his demonstrations. He uses practical techniques & understands good footwork & distance. Thinking he's just some aikido movie guy with no understanding of combat is not real. Look at his trapping technique whether it's hand to hand or with weapons is mo different from . A Filipino soldier using Kali on the beaches to slaughter the Spanish on the beaches. Or just any advanced marine CQC training involves the exact same trapping you see in the dozens of Segals shitty films. That's why it amazes me that he feels the need to lie. Yes some of the hand trapping techniques are useful in combat situations but are so hard to pull off there are far better options like Judo techniques or striking your opponent to the ground with rapid fire Chinese boxing punches.

@@kirkmarshall2853 you didn't read what I wrote. I agree. Aikido is useless. He's a master in aikijutsu. Traditional aikido at advanced level is still terrible combat. It's only good if you're already highly trained in effective combat & the goal is balancing trying to hurt your opponent as little as possible while defeating them. Like the creator of aikido was. But teaching it to everyday people is bad advice. It doesn't work. And of course it's to demonstrate. But regardless of whether has it slowed down or students let him apply it so it looks better, he's literally using the same techniques you use in training military. What demos are you watching? He champions aikido but doesn't use it in most of his films or demos. He's used other practical arts & uses **those** techniques in his films & demonstrations. So I don't even know what you're disagreeing with. He's a phony but he's knowledgeable & proficient. What you're saying doesn't argue against that

Vic has changed this story so many times, it's hard to keep up. In another interview from around a decade ago, he said he blocked the first 2 punches, then glanced away and Bruce then threw the 3rd punch. Vic said he swatted at it, because he thought it was funny that Bruce would throw a sudden face punch after the first one's were chest punches. Then he apparently asked Bruce to block 3 of his punches and said Bruce only blocked the 3rd. Then he talked about them sparring afterwards and Bruce telling him that he was the fastest American he ever saw. But.... that's not what happened in the video at all. After Bruce's 3 punches, Vic laughs, bows, shakes his hand and then exits the floor. Also, according to a 1998 program called "Masters of the Martial Arts", hosted by Wesley Snipes, the narrator says Bruce said Steve Muhammed(Sanders) had the fastest hands alive. Lastly, Bruce was a TV star in 1967. Not a movie star. He did television shows starting in 1966 with The Green Hornet. He also appeared in Longstreet and Marlowe. The Bog Boss didn't come out until the 70s. Bruce's film career before that was as a child actor in Hong Kong. Vic was a champion. Yes. Vic was fast, yes. Vic also is the hero in every story he tells. He makes himself out to be almost superhuman. He lost to Chuck Norris, but doesn't bring that up without saying he actually beat Chuck. That's Chuck being humble to Vic. Doesn't really talk about his defeats. He was even featured in a video called Vic Moore: The Man Who Beat Them All. Yikes.... I think Vic didn't get the same recognition that other black martial artists like Thomas Lapuppet, Chaka Zulu, Moses Powell, Steve Sanders, Jim Kelly and a few others did. And for the last decade or so, he's been giving interviews and coming out as the mysterious and unstoppable fighter that even Bruce Lee feared. The ego is what kills me here. I haven't even seen Vic give an interview in street clothes. It's as if his marital arts legacy matters so greatly to him that he won't appear without his Karate gi and belt for fear you'll forget he's a 10th Dan and a champion. Yeah, it all comes across as bitterness that you can practically taste through the screen.

I find it HILARIOUS that someone says "Vic Moore had his hands down" when Bruce Lee moved in......yeah from six fee away!! Truth is all of us 60-70 year people remember that in those days There was no full contact Sparring. At that time when Bruce Lee and his students engaged in full gear Sparring, in front of the audince, it was UNHEARD OF. Point sparring was the name of the game in those days, which is why Bruce Lee believed that a Boxer or wrestler could beat most Martial artisits. Full contact did not begin in the USA until the 70s by which time Brbuce lee was fully engaged in Movies. I dont think Bruce Lee was a god, but he was amazing, every generation produces certain special people. Michael Jordan, Floyd Mayweather, Muhammed Ali, Michael Jackson and Bruce Lee.

No offense to Master Moore but having Bruce Lee beat him in a demonstration of speed is not a reason to have his pride hurt. It was not a fight. In a demonstration the demonstrator sets up the scenario to benefit the demonstration. I love Bruce Lee and his philosophy. I see that moment for what it was, a psychological trick to make the punch seem faster than it already was. Bruce Lee used one of his own principles to his advantage; do not think, do. He made Master Moore have to think before he moved and he was flat footed. Bruce Lee punched when he wanted to punch in a way he had practiced hundreds of times allowing the punch to be more fluid and natural. Master Moore had to think how to move because all he could use was his arm which isn't how he would normally handle that situation. There is a lesson on manipulating the mind of the opponent in that demonstration and the importance of training to be able to act without thought.

Vic Moore is talking about a 1964 Bruce Lee conducting a demonstration. Bruce was evolving monthly, according to Dan Inosanto, all those guys Mike Stone, Chuck Norris and Joe Lewis were trained by Bruce. Actually Joe Lewis credits Bruce with changing his ability by 100 percent and said Mike Stone was the one that told him to see Bruce as Bruce was the one helping Mike Stone win. In this video by Joe, he credits Bruce with being the one instrumental in him winning. The first full contact fight Joe Lewis fought and won was in 70, according to Joe, which you'll see in this 1st part of a 3 part video link below. The only mention by Joe of Vic Moore is of Vic Moore getting knocked out by Harrison and I don't know of a referee anywhere that would not stop the fight if someone staggers that much trying to get up. Grand Master William Cheung said Bruce and Chuck sparred and Bruce won, I've got that link too if needed, hence why Chuck became Bruce's student. Chuck wrote an apology letter to Bruce in early 73 for stories getting out there that he said he had not trained with him or credited him with it and confirmed in the letter Bruce's involvement. James DeMile said he'd put his money on Bruce to beat anybody, but he's an easy target now he's gone. 1st part below, other 2 parts available if needed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/baKqn2ivmtaZhsU

Wow…just wow. This “extended cut” of Moore’s Long Beach experience with him sparring and humiliating Lee could be straight out of Birth of the Dragon, which basically inverts history, and is right up there with escrimador Trovador Ramos’ claim that he beat Lee as well. But, hey, maybe this startling footage, suppressed for the sake of preserving the Bruce Lee myth, will surface at the same time some Lee/Seagal footage does, lol. As for the “selectively edited” demo-which Bruce’s student Steve Golden saw and said Moore didn't block a darn thing-what stands out for me is the laughter and smiling handshake at the end. Moore, at least to me, appears to be good-naturedly thanking Lee with a "Dang, you're good" gesture and they respectfully bow to each other. That's it; nothing to see here, folks. Why all of this has evolved and devolved into a bitter, dismissive, seemingly delusional tall tale that goes out of its way to shit on a guy that, far as I know, showed no disrespect toward Moore or any practitioners of color back in the day, is beyond me. I think it was Inosanto student Paul Vunak who said it best: When Bruce was alive, people walked on eggshells around him, but after he died…

No doubt Vic Moore is over the top saying so much about a dead master. But... To those who have a problem with people debating Bruce lee's potential as he cannot defend himself; I agree overall, but I also think that since he is such a timeless figure, with such a strong legacy, it's natural to speculate. Look...celebrities put themselves in a position of being judged (often unfairly)...and when it comes to the realm of martial arts, a realm with massive egos, of course people are gonna speculate, especially because Lee never really had an official record. But ... regarding the demo with Bruce & Vic, anyone can watch unedited footage of that right here on youtube & , guess what, it doesn't support Vic's version. Mr. Moore may say one thing but both guys' body language tells a completely different story. If Vic had just publicly embarrassed Bruce would Bruce have carried on his demos, cool & confident like nothing humiliating had just happened to him? Not saying that that demo really proved a lot, as Vic points out Bruce was too far away to actually hit him anyway (but if Bruce had been closer wouldn't Vic have had less time to react?), they weren't sparring, but that demo was filmed from at least 3 camera angles, none of which support Vic's story. But someone else filmed the whole demo, right? Someone else filmed Vic completely dominating Bruce in a private sparring session, right? If only someone would share the incredible footage of Vic embarrassing Bruce Lee! Must be some kind of cover up or conspiracy thing, right? A likely story. After taking the time to listen to the interview I can more appreciate and respect the stance. I can also be less critical. I was initially very critical and biased. One thing I never favored about traditional martial arts are the hypothetical and speculative debates. The belt rankings and titles also play into the ego. Coming from boxing and wrestling, if you wanted to garner respect you had to go live. Drills are drills, fighting is fighting. There wasn't an overemphasis on formalities to fight each other, hop in the ring or hop on the mat. You may be better than me this week, and I might train and be better than you the next. However, I can respect Grandmaster Vic because this is his story to be told. From what I saw he looked like a formidable opponent. And show proof that he can be Bruce Lee because there should be video of it then hes only saying that hes beaten Bruce Lee there's not really actually any proof. And there's no proof that Bruce Lee or or this one other guy is bigger there's no proof of that either.

@mastertorryn5397 Agreed everyone talks smack about someone who's past but I never did see Moore talking this way when Bruce was alive.

The delusional state he's in is incredible. He's describing a story to us that we can see the clear video footage of, blatantly lying against the footage, didn't bother to explain why the footage is showing otherwise. He wears a Karate gi like it's supposed to lend him credibility when it just comes off as a sad Halloween costume trying to hide his gut. His ignorance on the subject of Lee is shown when he calls it "Jeet KWAN Do". Lee in that vic moore footage is respectful and considerate to human beings by making sure there's enough space, ensuring vics safety Lee pulls his strike a good 5-10 inches away from moore's face. This guy shoots an interview video with you right in front of his refrigerator. You know even if you want to say you upped one on Bruce that might be fine if you at least acknowledged something good about Bruce, he doesn't even speak one honest attribute for Lee. He's gotta put Lee down to elevate himself I guess.

Listening to Vic Moore for many years he sends out the vibe that he does not like Bruce. Maybe Bruce Lee embarrassed him. I've often thought I've gotten the better of someone while sparring and it wasn't true.

Playing devils advocate, I think Vic Moore just wants his side heard. Imagine you’re being ridiculed for 50 plus years without anyone considering his side of things. Vic comes from a old generation of fighters that probably would want the attention Bruce received. Remember these men fought in tournaments, while Bruce became a movie star. I think these fighters probably deserve a bit more respect as well. I adore Bruce but as you get older you understand the balance of fighters and actors. Bruce decided to become a movie star and changed the world. But it doesn’t just begin and end with Bruce Lee either.

@@kiaikarate5387 I am no master 😉 I appreciate the response! Bruce Lee is also human so we sorta get carried away of his mythical status. I feel all those fighters from that era also deserve some respect too! 👊🏻

@leeroygreene85 Just because you're a martial artist doesn't mean you deserve attention or will become a movie star. Bruce was 1 in a million, very special. Nobody had his style or charisma.
@leeroygreene85 Жыл бұрын
@@Haerinx87 No one is debating Bruce’s status. This was more to bring attention to other martial artists of that period. The line starts to blur when we only worship and admire (1) person that others get hardly any recognition. Just my opinion of course

I've watched this video lots of times. You didn't even come close to blocking a single punch and the reaction from you in the video even proves it you lowered your head laughing because you know you got smoked why are people constantly trying to say how good they are compared to Bruce Lee when they're in no physical shape or condition to even prove it against a young karate guy today I think it's just older people trying to relive their Glory but believe me you're not helping yourself by outright lying cuz everyone sees the truth

Victor Moore is a professional liar and totally deluded. It wouldn't matter what you say to him or video evidence presented to him bruce lee gave him every chance and he failed. What a moron.

Many magazines indicated that Moore beat Norris, Lewis and Stone, all top guys. But we’re talking tournaments. Also, Lee gave a demo during his eclectic phase, he was still putting his JKD together. Nobody, and I mean nobody, ever said that Lee was able to block Moore’s punches, so there has to be something to that. Remember Lee had promotors, he was a product of Hollywood. Moore was an unknown, and whatever happened in the gym that day was left in that gym. However, two top black belts have confirmed that Moore was faster, and one of them knew Lee well, and had a role in Enter the Dragon. He was the instructor of Jim Kelly’s Kenpo class in the beginning of the film, he underlined that Moore was faster. Where is everyone else to dispute that claim?

There were people faster than Bruce. But don't mean you can hit Bruce or stop one of Bruce's attacks.
