I Beat One of Mario Maker's FINAL Levels

Hi folks, enjoy this video of me beating one of the last unbeaten Mario Maker levels. Since then, ALL other levels have been beaten. Also, if you hadn't heard, apparently the last unbeaten level "Trimming the Herbs" was revealed to be TAS so that is no longer being considered one of the unbeaten levels. I love Mario Maker 1 and I'm sad to see it go. Personally I think Mario Maker 1's levels should be made available on Nintendo Switch Online for subscribers.

You're a creator whom has built the back of his channel on Mario, but can now play whatever games he wants. Still let's not forget Barb is a world class Mario maker player. Granted because of his status & following somebody fed him the perfect level & routed it for him. Still the world classic mm1 guy from the past dusted off his controller hit the correct button & did his part because MM1 is his humble beginnings & he respects that.

@@TheO416 The creator just recently admitted they used a TAS for it on Discord/Twitter. I'd recommend reading their full post, but TL;DR: he got tendon issues in his hand from trying to upload bombs5 and found out his friend was developing a TAS, which he used. His goal with TTH was to make an unreasonably difficult level for the PogChamp contest but intentionally get disqualified due to the time rule. He thought people would quickly assume it was TASed, and when it caused a stir he would announce that a SMM TAS existed. But it didn't get attention for years and he moved on with his life. Recent escalations due to the attention and time constraint of Team 0% got to be too much. He regrets the ordeal and apologizes for the drama it caused.

For all the bumps and bruises Barb got playing Mario Maker 1 I do think it ends up the better game over 2 with nicer controls, being able to spin carry items in World and being able to download levels to learn their strats and techniques. I also think 100 man is more interesting due to it having an actual goal to chase as opposed to endless. Hell of a job ya did supporting Team 0% and may a Mario Maker 3 be the game you always wanted it to be......now pway my wevel :3

So sad that the final level was TASed. I did have a feeling it might be cheated when the creator said he didn't care that he was apart of some of the last levels in SMM1 and he had moved on with his life. All of the other last creators said they were proud of their levels being some of the final levels. I hope someone clears it before it's too late just to show it's actually possible but don't have high hopes. As a Canadian it sucks that this guy wouldn't admit it earlier. I thought that the last level left uncleared was some super skilled guy from my country not some lame slo-mo TASer. Sad day for Canada and therefor the world. :(

Purportedly the creator said earlier today that Herbs and their other level were cheated clears from when they were like 13, so every Actually Feasible Level has been cleared by a person. And Herbs by a TAS now as well, I think.

Like, imagine in a few years, I get to be a dad. And some day, I'm gonna buy my kid a console to play with. And I'm gonna tell him or her about the glorious days and the legendary levels by Barbarousking aka "Barbarian" back in the day... Well, that kid will never have the joy to play stuff like Master and Commander or Yoshi Barbeque (to this day probably my favorite troll level of all time 😅). And yes, I would absolutely put my own child through stuff like that. 🤭 Well, at least, I can still show the video, right? 🤷‍♂️ Still, my main point about my argument was to point out, how extreme and dumb Nintendo went on with their copyright claims, that includes Mario Maker content. Yet, if we hadn't had all these wonderful streamers and KZbinrs, who battled through it, took the risks, likely never saw a cent for their content, yet still uploaded for our entertainment. That's so shitty from Nintendo, they're shooting themselves in the foot when they do that. Certainly in the long run. And I doubt that all of it will be backed up and made available on emulator at some point. But I'd love to be proven wrong....
