I find beating your rival then going to bill THEN Misty is much faster, but i also tend to fight more trainers on the way through mt moon, also a tip for cycling road, if you press b it puts your bikes brake on lol

I played leaf green with a squirtle (and evolutions) solo run once and yeah this just seems accurate. The entire line gets like two problematic trainers in the whole game and you can easily get moves against them (Dig can be used on Wartortle iirc for Surge and you can get ice beam before erika)

My fastest time on any Pokémon game is 7 hours and 50 minutes with no cheat codes. I played the original Pokémon ruby,sapphire and emerald 200 times so i knew where everything was. I beat Pokémon Omega Ruby in 7 hours and 50 minutes. The 2nd fastest time has been 12 hours. I was only able to do this by not stopping after i started playing. Both playthroughs were casual and i was not trying to do a speed run.

I never really got the appeal of speed runs. I tried one once when I was much younger, just out of boredom one Saturday afternoon. I beat Mario World on GBA in 12 minutes and 3 seconds. I played the SNES version so much as a kid, I pretty much know the game inside and out, and when I noticed the GBA port tracks your time until you beat Bowser, I just decided to go for it (FYI, this was before speedrunning became a big thing on the internet. I don't even think youtube existed yet). I still have that GBA cartridge, and it still has the save file on it.

Bite is 60BP, super effective doubles so 120BP effective. Surf is 95BP in gen 3, 1.5 for STAB so ~142BP. Even at just 90BP, it's effective 135BP, so still better.
