I remember as a kid watching the double nickel game. Still probably my favorite basketball game I ever watched. The idea that he was gone for a year and a half, and not just off but training his body to play a completely different sport which required him to alter his workout which changed his body. Then he comes back, plays, I believe, 9 games and then puts up 55 on one of the best defensive teams ever. Still incredible to think about.

33:44 - Bill Cartwright had REALLY bad knees at this point in his career, so he didn't really elevate that much (and dunking was a rare sight to see from him). Also, you asked about Terry Teagle: if my memory serves, he started in place of an injured James Worthy in Game 5. 39:50 - Yes, TV looked hazy and fuzzy. Most people were still using rounded-front tube TVs, flatscreens were über rare, and channels didn't broadcast in HD. That's why a lot of the older games need to be upscaled to be shown on current channels such as NBA-TV. 40:34 - Houston Rockets won the next two titles after Jordan's first retirement and original 3Peat. 51:51 - I think Kobe had the "mostly bald" look for his rookie season (1996-97), but the next season (97-98) he was sporting longer hair and kept it that way until about 2002 or 03, I think (when he started going with the buzz cut). 54:55 - 🕺🏽 Lovin' this video, BTW!

NoRth Carolina had an offense called “4 corners” they would spread out offense with one guy in each corner and he in the middle at the top of the key they would stall the ball after they got a lead and would only shoot if they got a layup. I can tell you're a young cat. I watchrd many of those Bulls games on TV back in the day, except vs Celtics. Terry Teagle was a threat coming off the bench for LA, and the top scoring bench player who played a key role. You mentioned Kobe having hair and not starting in '97. Kobe rookie year was '96. He didn't start in '96 and '97. Del Harris wasn't feeling Kobe at the time. Even Kobe was pissed off questioning why wasn't he getting much playing time. And yes, Kobe had the short fro going into the early 2000s. You couldn't believe Rodman could score on Malone? Rodman was a beast! Not scoring, but as a defensive player and rebounder night after night. Being a PF, he also guarded Shaq and gave him problems, along with many other centers, and not only PFs.

First, these Jordan challenges are awesome! I absolutely loved this video.. the first game back in 95 was against the Pacers.. could’ve done that one.. as for the “flu game” and him playing.. 1) it was the Finals.. for championship #5… no way he wasn’t playing… 2) back then players weren’t as concerned about stuff like that… major stars played 70+ games yearly back then.. no “player management” crap… him having the flu would’ve only gotten someone sick if they ate, drank or kissed him on the mouth.. think about this for a minute… magic played with AIDS for at least 1 full season before retiring after he found out… he then made a come back in 96… I believe players had to sign waivers so they couldn’t sue the league if they contracted AIDS… of course “lord Fauci” had people believing false crap about AIDS too or the waivers wouldn’t had been necessary… love the video! One small thing… the “blurry” tv continued until HD came around in the early 2000’s.. it really wasn’t that blurry.. the picture was just more compact…

Game 4 2000 Finals win without Shaquille O Neal 5. 2001 Western Conference Finals vs Spurs 45 points, 10 rebounds (player needs to get same stats) 6. Kobe Bryant gets first ever All-Star game MVP (2002) 7. Kobe Bryant breaks the three point record (12 three pointers in 2003) - player needs to get 12 threes as well 8. Kobe Bryant destroys the Nets in 2003 NBA Finals Game 3 9. Kobe scores 81 points against the Toronto Raptors - player also needs to get 81 points (ik it sounds impossible) 10. Bryant scores 50+ points four straight games - idk what they would do about the four straight games so idk 11. Bryant gets revenge on the Celtics in the NBA Finals in 2009 12. Bryant goes back to back in the Finals in 2010 13. Kobe dunks on LeBron and then hits a three pointer in the All-Star game in 2011 - player has to dunk on lebron 14. Kobe hits free throws with an injury - player has to hit two free throws while its harder because the injury 15. Bryant scores 60 points against Utah in his final game in 2016 - player has to get 60 points this sounds so much harder then the Jordan challenge but it would be dooe

Lol even if Jordan didn’t retire Hakeem would’ve whooped that ass 💯
@skyh23942 жыл бұрын
Yeah good luck if you think Jordan would've lost a finals lmao. He would've dropped 45 on the Rockets. Hakeem only won when the GOAT was playing baseball. Theres levels to this 💯

@@skyh2394 You comparing a regular season game to the finals, Hakeem would’ve murdered the bulls Jordan wouldn’t have out scored the whole rockets team

Just started playing the MJ challenge, I've tried like 6 times and I can't grab 9 rebounds to save my life 🙃 😫 😑

play on easier difficulty and make your own sliders

Same. I'm playing on Pro difficulty, and while getting 16 points is easy, I can't come anywhere close to 9 rebounds.

That Pistons challenge woulda been more accurate if they was knocking MJ to the ground in the paint.

the "flu" game MJ was food poisoned by Utah Jazz fans (teens). The NBA wanted to clean it up to not put a bad mark to the city (since every major goal of business is profit).
