Thank you so much for this video! This is very informative and helpful. You have answered several questions I have toward deciding on purchasing an M4 iPad Pro. I also love your art, and you have a great voice and presentation. You have another subscriber.

Best benefit of drawing on iPad for me is they’re easy to carry and move, I won’t be chained to my table and desktop anymore, i can literally draw outdoors, living room, anywhere i wanted, and when I want to change my desk’s usage order I don’t have to unplug and replug all the cables again and again. So many reviews on youtube are negative on iPad Pro cause it doesn’t run mac os, they forgot the whole point of iPad is doing something easier.

Yeah I never understood complaints about no Mac OS on an iPad. I guess they just want a MacBook with a touchscreen. You’re so right though. It’s nice to have so many options for art on such a sleek device. I used to carry my laptop and cintiq around and it required so much space 😩

The iPad is really THE tool for digital drawing imo. You don't have to stay at your desk, you can be anywhere and still be productive. I think it's my best purchase, I have mine since 2021 and it still works perfectly :D
@GeorgeoBrooksАй бұрын
Agreed! I got my first one in 2018. I was surprised how well it held up. I only upgraded this year so I could have more layers in Procreate and also do some video editing with it.

Nice! I really love the step up into the M series chips. I can work with larger files and more layers compared to my 2018 model I used before.

Do you use the ipad for the pages as well? If so is it still procreate? I like to make short comics sometimes and I always waste a lot of time manually drawing out the panels on procreate, which i know some other softwares have better support for so I'm curious how you approach it
@GeorgeoBrooks8 күн бұрын
Mmm. Good question! Yeah I do the pages in Procreate as well, BUT i only do “guideline” panel borders to start. By that I mean I make straight-ish lines on a separate layer, then after exporting it I make the actual borders in Clip Studio and delete that layer. Afterwards I usually send it back to Procreate (in big batches of pages). I make borders only after the lineart is finished so I can do easier color fills when I start flatting.

I know exactly how you feel since I collect a lot of pens and pencils but how long did it take you to get used to your tablet? Cause I have two iPads and I’m still not used to them and also have a drawing tablet for my laptop
@GeorgeoBrooksАй бұрын
It was a good while before I fully acclimated to my iPad. The main point of friction for me was the pen pressure sensitivity. I’m very light-handed so I had to spend a ton of time getting my brush settings to be near perfect. I ended up hurting my tendon because I started working on the Mr Muffins comic before I had all that sorted.😩 Was a real drag.
