Another tip, open the (One hand operation) in samsung and you can hide upto 6 apps and can only be opened by a swipe gesture from the side of the phone. For example, i have youtube set to (swipe diagonally up) to open and diagonal swipe down for twitter and hold diagonal up for 2 seconds to open VLC, swipe left and hold for Snapchat and so on. Samsung phones have a lot of ways to do the same thing. Secure folder, modes...

Secure folder duplicates any apps you put in it meaning you can delete it from your phone but still access it through secure folder the only downside is it doesn't transfer data from the original files so if it's a game you put in sf you would have to start over

I have both iphone 14 pro max and S24 Ultra, the Samsung phone doesn’t feel like its a 1000+$ phone. it feels cheap, interface is the same as a 100$ android phone and the camera is nothing to write home about. iphone on the other hand, feels real premium, battery lasts two days under heavy use (gaming mostly and videos for me), the camera is very professional, interface also feels very premium specially on ios 18. the biggest problem with android phones is that they all look like each other and nothing unique about any of them.

I think most people do know about the edge panel and the "hidden" apps place in Samsung phones.. so the best way is to either move the app to the "secure folder" - or just simple lock your phone with a password and don't allow anyone you don't trust to have access to it. I do use the edge panel to show my hidden apps, those apps are tools that i don't use very often.. so i hide them to make my home screen look cleaner.

Secure Folder is the right and better way to do it. Completely different partition and fully encrypted and can be used with a different Google Play account also. You can customise the Secure Folder icon and name, so you can call it "Calculator" if you really wanted to do and assign a calculator icon. When you try to access this app, it will ask you for a special pin or pattern depending on your setup and voila, completely secure. This is one reason why I don't move to iPhone. iPhones do have that Satalite phone thing which is pretty handy in a Zombie apocalypse coming soon. 😅

Just go to setting and in the app section, you can find that app but in apple iOS 18 beta, it does actually from all over, you can't access or see it until you open the hidden apps folder even in the setting in iOS 18

This year, for some reason, i stopped carrying my phone (S24Ultra) leaving it at home. I do wear one of 3 Galaxy watches (mobile networked) shared with the two numbers on that phone. When i do take a phone, its the iphone mini 13. With only a few necessary apps. And with the Galaxy watch on my wrist i have connectivity to my S24Ultra at home. That S24 has my entire life on it. Im just not going to be carrying that thing around anymore. Its almost (if not actually) like my old desktop.
