I remember hearing that mentioned somewhere but can't recall exactly so I might be wrong. At the very least I do believe it is implied on account of the sudden change in weather. I think AniNews also made a recap/cut content video on that episode where he mentions it, so I recommend checking there to confirm in case I'm misremembering. (EDIT: Went looking for it and can't find it. If you can then cool, otherwise just disregard this part. Left this part in just in case it does exist)

He didn't intentionally get hit by the truck to get isekaied, he was trying to awaken magic in himself by hitting his head against a rock(Can't recall if a reason was ever given for that) and seeing lights, thinking it was magic, he ran towards them and then gets killed. Iirc, he still believes it was just magic that transported him, not a truck killing him.

from what i remember he goes to the mountain to train because he was frustrated that the x military guy grazed him from episode 1, he fasted for days for some king of spiritual training I guess? in order to attain magic. Delirious, he bashed his head against a tree or something believing it was somehow working. He then saw a passing light believing he was sensing magic but is actually headlights coming from an on passing by truck. He ran towards the light genuinely believing he was pursuing magic. Dude basically unalived himself by jumping infront of a truck and died without even knowing what hit him. Literally.

One thing I love about cid… he doesn’t just kill for the sake of killing. When he kills someone, it’s usually a practical or good reason. Example: his interrogators. While alpha wanted them dead for basically laying a hand on him, cid let them be since it was all part of his act with no real harm done and the fact they were just doing their jobs. Yet later, when they basically try to frame him for the princess’s disappearance (basically being bad guys), he has reason to take them out.
