It took me like sixteen episodes of this show to realize that Mysaria is played by the same person who played the bride Araminta in Crazy, Rich, Asians who was super smiley and happy in every one of her scenes in that movie…and then she played a character who never got to smile cuz her life was never easy. We call that range 🤗

I liked this season i think it was a set up for season 3 which will be all out war i think some major characters might die next season they been setting up and laying the groundwork for daemon vs aemond next season

Alicent went from a woman who would do anything to protect her children to a traitor who is perfectly fine with all of them dying. And it’s not just Aegon who she sentenced either. She also sent Aemond and Daeron(the only other nice child who was having a peaceful life in Oldtown)to their graves as well and may as well have sold off Helaena and Jaehaera into team blacks’ hands as hostages. There is no way her daughter can leave now because most people will see her as an usurper’s wife and want her to die too to prevent Aegon or even Aemond from having more heirs. Alicent is an even worse mother than Cersei was and I honestly feel so bad for all of her children. They were always just doomed to die from the start because of their own selfish mother.

@@mattchris01 She still agreed to it though when she could’ve refused to make that deal. She could’ve tricked Rhaenyra into think she’d give up the throne and then begin to plan for the future attack. So that shows that Aegon was always her least favorite child.

Cersei loved her kids, sure, but she also enabled and encouraged awful behavior, just look at Joffrey; she willingly raised a selfish monster just like her. Alicent loves her kids, but she never knew how to be a parent due to being a teenage mother and having Otto as a father. She's not giving up her sons because she hates them, but because she realizes she failed them monumentally and they are too far gone, she thinks death is the most merciful fate they could get at this point, since they're a danger to her daughter and basically the entire realm.

I have 3 suspects I think may have grabbed Otto and locked him up. The first is Larys. He wanted to be Hand and he might have tried to get Otto out of the way. The Second is Lord Commander Westerling. He gave up his white cloak last season after the Small Council betrayed Viserys' wishes. The third is the Beesburys. Otto would have to pass through Beesbury lands in order to reach Oldtown and Highgarden. The lord of House Beesbury was murdered by the Green Council the night of the coup.

In the first season, the show missed a significant opportunity to develop a meaningful relationship between Aegon and Rhaenyra, which would have greatly enhanced the show's impact. It is understandable that viewers may overlook the fact that Aegon and Rhaenyra are siblings, but in the source material, "Fire and Blood," this aspect is consistently acknowledged. Consequently, the heartfelt scenes between Alicent and Rhaenyra in the later seasons would have been more impactful if they had occurred between Rhaenyra and Aegon.

But there is a tiny spoiler for you sry, golden beast has the craziest bond with the Aegon with a loyalty so deep it was as though they were brothers in blood and soul… For me, Sunfyre arc is just the best in the books( if writers faithfully adapts it)

alicent should change her mind, aiding her kids down this path of war, and now that her sons are fighting for their life not just the crown she goes and sabotages their plans because she feels hopeless and is tired of bloodshed in this war.

episode 6 reviews was purely homophobia there was nothing extremely bad about it. I’m really glad you enjoyed the season though! Even though this season was mostly exposition I love seeing characters change, grow and make questionable choices. It makes the climactic stuff we’re waiting for all the more satisfying!
