That's deliberate sabotage. If you have poor timekeeping skills, there are ways to manage that problem. Choosing not to do so is a conscious decision. This, however, is an issue of your wife resenting your daughter. She didn't want to go on the trip, and she didn't want OP to go on the trip either.
@cloudjumpertheskywing8380 Жыл бұрын
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I am by no means a morning person. But if I have a flight at 7:45 AM, then you bet my ass will be at the airport by 6 AM. So yes, this is pure sabotage, *especially* since OP mentioned that his wife doesn't have any trouble like this when it comes to work, only when seeing the daughter.

So his child's mother died during birth, and the wife is technically the stand in, and she keeps dragging her feet to see the daughter. Not a question about these things. So what we have here,is a woman child who is deliberately sabotaging his relationship with his daughter because it's not her kid so why should she care? Yeah, I smell divorce and it needs to happen ASAP. The toxicity is overwhelming.

SHE is the reason y'all missed the first flight and SHE was warned that y'all were boarding soon and didn't have time yet SHE chose to go get what she didn't need and SHE chose her own selfishness over doing wjat she should have done. She thinks you could just leave the plane at that point?! No. She's a grown ass adult. Was her own damn fault.

yeah, that wife is a complete idiot, when it comes to a flight you should always come early, at least 90 minutes like OP said, but I do believe that the wife doesn't like OP's daughter.

I think its passive-agressiveness. I know two people in my life who are like that, one is a narcissist and I am absolutely certain, they are late on purpose. There are people with bad time managment skills, I am one of them. But I dont do it on purpose, I am just forgetful. I wouldnt arrive at a gate 15 minutes before the flight and then get the idea to grab a coffee that is a whole train ride away. OPs wife is doing that to make everyone around her wait, because everything has to be about HER.
@bakabunny788 Жыл бұрын

The wife is obviously dragging her feet when it comes to seeing “his” daughter. He could have told us if she did this for all flights, like vacations and going places she wanted to go. Also, he said she wanted kids, but that wasn't possible; he could have elaborated a bit more here!

I was in kenya for a few weeks visiting family, thought it would go well but it didnt, one of the reasons was because my aunt, decided to stop for some clothes she thought looked good in nairobi, we were with a relative and he led us, problem is that Nairobi is huge, CRAMPED, snd we do not know where we are, and the fact that we could have gotten lost in another country makes it worse. She decided to stop the first time because she was interested in clothes, i saw her and froze, moved a little and then saw her nearly getting lost, i got her back and told her to not do that again respectfully, witha. Little frustration but i held myself. Then she did it again and i was just pissed off, I couldn't make a scene but i did what i could, i got a little too anrgy and accidentally pushed her a little, not too much tho, she got anrgy at that and then we had a small fight. I ignored that and tried to get to the others as quickly as possible, that was when i lost them, we found then eventually but i still have a little hate for her in my heart for that, really pisses me off, my mother also did the same, both of them were really annoying that day, they knew we could get lost in a dangerous, poor, cramped, and unfamiliar country. Yet they still cared for some clothes. I wanted to say this cause this reminded me of that time, things like this happen, if i didn't have to wait for her i wouldn't, but i literally could not leave the country without them.

Are you the AH for deliberately leaving you wife... A little. At least that's what I thought at first. Like if it was yours and your wife's daughter, yes she's terrible with time management, but she still wants to go see her daughter. Knowing that she's not OP's daughter's mom though, literally seems like she just doesn't care about her step-daughter, caring more about getting a coffee then seeing her daughter. Like who TF even gets coffee before getting on a plane, you does up on NyQuil and clock out. Anyways OP totally in the right here, don't mean to sound like one of those greedy tinder thots being like "my child is my world and you come second" but that should be how it be. Dudes been awfully lenient with her considering she already put him out a couple thousand for missing the first flight alone. I would have told her "your not going to make it back in time, and I will get on this plane without you" if she tried to walk across a major airport for a coffee. He gave up a day with his daughter the first time, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me you know.

In my experience women simply have no understanding that sometimes stuff is their fault. Both on a personal and a societal level I see this everywhere. I've done similar stuff where I was at first admonished for criticizing behavior, and then was admonished for deciding to try a different approach and just not intervene when said behavior lead them towards negative outcomes. Since I COULD have intervened it was still my fault, it is never theirs. These people are toxic, don't date them.

To me, the process of joining and where to go is one of the problems. The next is the benefits after serving. I feel like the recruiters lie and or spin the truth around just to make you join. Personally, I’m fine with death, with PTSD and depression but Gen Z has a lot of anxiety and the military branches don’t really help with that. I’m currently trying to check off all the bubbles to see if I can get in with all the benefits and bonuses that they have spoken of. But it’s not easy, Not going to lie, I’m a little bit on the heavy side since leaving school. I’ve been losing weight eating food that’s like what they would serve you. Training my body to what I would think is ok. Then you have all the tests and overall paperwork that can stress me out and I’m just trying to get into basic training !

lol nah, I disagree . When you marry someone with children you put YOURSELF in that role. She knew he had a child when she met him. No, she's not obligated to be the mother of his child BUT she is obligated to support her husband trying to be a good father and to be a caring and supportive stepmother.
