Kodak actually trademarked (or patented) their famous shade of yellow. Starting in 1976 I worked for a professional photography color lab in St. Louis. We used Kodak paper "for a good look" as their slogan said. Kodak often gave us lab workers cool promotional items. I still have some. I worked in the art department doing positive retouching with dyes and airbrushing (a real skill in those pre-digital, pre-photoshop days). I opened eye blinks, removed glare from eyeglass lenses, lengthened chewed fingernails, cleared away zits, slimmed double chins, etc. I even enhanced some celebrity portraits.

17:00 The covered pipe is what's known as a "hunting" pipe. The lid meant that you could smoke while galloping along behind the hounds, without setting the forest afire. 17:24 If they're Polaroid, the lenses will be polarized and replacements could be trickier to find. 18:30 Those magnifier torches are as handy as a pocket on a shirt. 18:58 The wood-handled "whatsit" is a multi-bit screwdriver set. The different bits are stored inside the handle, which unscrews at the top. Since this one also has a spindle with fishing line on it, I think it must have been for repairing rods. 19:39 I'm digging these brass belt buckles that you keep coming across. 19:46 "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" - no, wait, wrong brand. 🙃 🙃 20:15 Very handy, if you need to unlock your skeleton. 💀 😄 21:06 I vote for it being "notes to self" for somebody learning how to type. 21:28 That there is deepwater rig. 22:15 My grandmother always used Schaeffer's Skrip blue-black in her desk set pen. While bottled ink doesn't go bad, it can dry up in the bottle. 22:28 Oh good, what looks like a complete set of gun cleaning rods! 22:48 NIB lures, and I saw at least two in there, can be pretty exciting. 24:25 The Anscoflex II camera was only sold for a few years in the middle 1950s. It's what is known as a pseudo-TLR camera; the lens was fixed focus so the viewfinder could only be used for locating the subject, not for adjusting the focus. The 620 film type which it used is no longer made. 25:24 Fortunately, those particular bottles wouldn't run up your hotel bill. They were souvenirs. 26:25 The flag is what's known as a "yacht ensign" and is supposed to be flown by US licenced yachts. 27:32 That's a good camera bag, provided the leather isn't perished. 28:01 No, I wouldn't be surprised either. I once realized a chunk of profit for my father's estate by selling off a howitzer shell box full of antique tubes, on eBay. I even went to the trouble of digging up a guy with a radio shop who still had a tube tester, and he let me use it all one afternoon to see which of the tubes were still good so I could advertise them as "tested and works." 28:17 I like the look of that Tiki bottle. What's in it? 28:55 The 7-Up labeling is early 1970s. 29:39 Champale was brewed in Norfolk, Virginia. Sad that the label's been damaged. 29:52 I bet the Dixie and Jax bottles are souvenirs of somebody's trip to Louisiana. Both of those beers are New Orleans brewed. That bottle type is called a "stubby" and there was a fad for them in the 1960s. These days, Red Stripe beer from Jamaica is sold in stubbies. 31:01 Oh, my. I'm afraid you have a long fight and a short stick, trying to sell those women's magazines. While there may be a market for them, it'll be very restricted and difficult to locate.

Needless to say, he chose Lake Washington in Seattle.
