About 8 years ago I bought a full garage full of electronic stuff from a guy who was a "radio man" in WW2. About 1500 tubes, most of them NOS, and about 10 radios. Many of the tubes were good, but 1940's versions so they were lower powered so not so desirable. Probably 60% of the garage went into the trash (after a year of working to sell the stuff) but I will tell you that some folks will pay astronomical money for WW2 items, especially if those items (talking about radios) that pertain to jeeps, in other words, would be a valid radio strapped onto the rail of a jeep. I sold 2 radios that I valued at $10 each for $800 and $2400. I am sure there are other items that are like this, don't know if moldy old belts and canteens and such will fetch much. No special magic req'd to sell this stuff, just throw it up on ebay. MANY people are always looking for WW2 items.

I have a history collection with the hope of opening a museum one day to preserve the past. The Italian helmet from WW2 is an M33 model. I saw quickly a French helmet and that appeared to be an M26 model manufactured after ww1. There was some really nice military artifacts in that group. I really liked the WW2 harness. The American helmet with the goggles was an M1 model. The East German uniform was a nice find. Since I enjoy antiques, I really like watching your videos! 👍

Alex, the red and green cloth in Bin #1 at about 4:37 is most likely the national flag of Afghanistan. 🇦🇫 The black, red and green vertical panels identify it, along with the classic emblem of a mosque with mihrab in the center red panel.

Great haul of stuff, I believe that sextant is British, I thinks its a British air sextant, not sure the exact year but its a very cool piece because it looks complete. Nice display piece. Some of those uniform items are worth a lot more than one could imagine. Great score. If you don't mind sharing how much did you pay for everything?
@cheefmynyon83484 жыл бұрын
Correct - it' looks like a Mk.IX "bubble sextant". Depending upon model could be as early as 1943 (based on the inclusion of the canister attached to the front of the sextant)...

I am from the USA and noticed how a Canadian person calls USA "American". Do Canadians not think of themselves as American. When we traveled to Central and South America I remember more than once people pointing out to us that they were also American. It took me a tick to realize that there was quite a hubris to calling ourselves American as though the other citizens to the rest of 2 continents were not.

The dress green jacket with the 2nd Armored Division was most likely early to mid 90's. 2nd AD was deactivated in 1996. US Army no longer wears that type of dress uniform. They are now going back to the 2nd world war uniform also known as the pinks and greens, along with the Eisenhower jacket.
